The problem where the attendee status is not updated for an event when the
organizer is using Entourage is related to an issue with the Identity being
used by the user. You can try creating a new identity, and I believe the
attendee status will be updated correctly. That is how I solved the problem
though you will wrestle with your local folders still being in the old
identity and other things like categories will have to be re-done.

You could try rebuilding your current identity by quitting Entourage and
then re-run it with the option key down to call up the Database utility.

I also believe that this problem may have have something to do with the
history of how Entourage identity was updated. The identity that had the
problem with had gone through several incremental SP updates.
