I have been using Entourage at work for a year now, all of a sudden,
these past few days, if my message has an attachment of any size (from
kb's to mb's) it takes a abnormally long time to go through. None of
my settings have been changed, and the company has fast internet
connections. So why is it slow all of a sudden?

I would suspect that somethig is going on with your SMTP server....
I don't see any reason why Entourage would suddently become slow
sending these e-mails otherwise.

I also called the companys I.T. dept. and they said there haven't been
any changes to the servers. So I'm pretty sure now that something on
my computer must conflicting with something else.

You can test this a few different ways.

Create a new Mac OS X user account and set up your mail account again
under this new account. If you notice the problem persists then the
problem is either with your computer or the server. If the problem goes
away then you may have some corrupt preferences or you may need to clear
your cache files.

To further test, set up your mail account on a different Mac. If the
problem follows then the problem is with your mail server and you'll
have to go back and prove this to your IT folks.

Finally, plug into a different network port. Use the Network Utility
found in /Applications/Utilities to determine your current network speed
and to verify the network speed of the new network port.
