Entourage 2004 Mac OS 10.4.3

Hi, I used to work in Outlook and I was able to schedule
appointments/meetings for a certain day by typing "today", "next Monday",
etc in the date field. I haven't figured out a way to make this work in
Entourage. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Nice idea! Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Entourage.

You can send feedback to the developers on this issue. Use the last menu
item under the 'Help' menu - "Send Feedback on Entourage". This message will
go directly to the developers. The more people that request this feature the
more likely it is to be implemented.

Just curious, Barry: You seem to have "boilerplate" text that you use in
cases where you need to give the same answer to multiple posters. Do you
have a trick for creating and using "stationery" or "templates" for this
sort of thing in Entourage (a great Mailsmith feature that I miss in
Entourage)? Do you use Office Clippings for that?

thanks,
Jeff

Well spotted!

I wrote a very handy little script called "Insert Notes" that inserts the
boilerplate text for me. All the text clippings are kept in Entourage notes,
and get dropped into an entourage message simply by pressing a key-combo to
call up the script, then selecting the note(s) from the list that appears.

Get the script from my scripts page:
Barry Wainwright - AppleScripts
<http://homepage.mac.com/barryw/scripts/scripts.html>

At the last count I have had about 600 acknowledgements for this (freeware)
scripts (and that doesn't count all the people who decide not to acknowledge
it), so it is by a long way the most popular of my scripts. I also just had
an email from MacWorld to say they plan to include a reference to it in an
upcoming article.

Sounds like a great solution -- thanks!
