Hi everyone,

I'm moving to Mac, and I'm loving it, although there are still some things I
am not completely satisfied with. For instance, the way Entourage presents
Usenet groups.

In Outlook Express over Windows, whenever you pick a thread, you can see the
messages "hanging" from the initial, or from the one they are an answer to.
In Entourage, so far, I've only been capable of seeing all the messages in a
thread hanging from the initial message of the thread. Is it possible to
change this, or should I try a different program for Usenet groups?

Thanks, from Spain

Unfortunately, Entourage doesn't support threading by reference, which is
necessary to have the sort of multi-level threading you desire. Having this
more advanced threading is a common request on these newsgroups, and will
hopefully be implemented in a future version.

In the meantime, if you require this feature, you'll need to investigate
using another newsreader like MT-NewsWatcher (free)
<http://www.smfr.org/mtnw/> or Unison <http://www.panic.com/unison/>.

Mt-NewsWatcher is great. Unisson is still a young app an lacks quite a
few features that would make it one of the bests. MacSoup is the most
advanced newsreader as far as threading and representation of the
threads goes... but these great features live in a somehow outdated and
otherwise limited user interface.
You can also consider Thunderbird. The app now supports threading of the
conversations as well.

Corentin (not happy with MacSoup, but I haven't found a better
usenet reader that suits *my* needs yet :'-( )
