I'm having some limited luck getting the Exchange integration working.
One thing I would like is to be able to change or link an existing IMAP
mail address to an Exchange address. I'm currently on a slow connection
that will take a very long time to download my messages. Since they have
already been downloaded using an existing IMAP entry, I'd like to link
the existing account to a new Exchange account. Is this possible, even
if it requires editting files manually? Thank you.

That would be nice, but I am afraid that you have to set up a new exchange
account. Then again, the calendar sync doesn't seem to work for many of us,
so I would just leave things alone until that gets worked out.
