I have several Usenet News accounts, each with several subscribed news
groups.

When I click on each group, it updates with the new messages and displays
them.

Is there a way I can get all of the groups in a news account to be updated
at once so that I only need to look at those with new messages?

Thanks

Susan

You can create a schedule to do this, or update the built-in "Send & Receive
All" schedule that's executed when you click the "Send & Receive" toolbar
button. Go to Tools > Schedules, and either open the existing "Send &
Receive All" schedule or create a new schedule. Then, add a "Receive News"
action, and choose the first news server. Click the "Click here for account
options" button, and check the groups you want to check for new messages.
Click OK. Repeat for each news server, and then click OK to save the
schedule. You can then launch the schedule by going to Tools > Run Schedule
> <your schedule>. When you run the schedule, all of the groups you have
checked will be checked for new messages.
