How to Turn off AutoCorrect/Capitalization in Entourage 2004 Mac?

Hello all,
Whenever I copy (sync) my entourage database file from my desktop to my

laptop and vice versa, it automatically turns on autocorrect...even
though the box in preferences (check spelling as I type) is not
checked. I can't turn it off. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi there,
AutoCorrect and SpellCheck are two completely different features; whereas
the settings for the latter are set in the preferences, the former can be
configured under Tools>AutoCorrect. Unchecking the options you don't need
should solve the problem. This solution also applies to Word, by the way,
though I have never understood why Microsoft does not include the
AutoCorrect options in the preferences window. Hope this was helpful.

excellent - thanks! I don't know why they're not in the same place in
preferences....
leave it to microsoft....
