Syncing PocketPC with Entourage

I would like to sync my Dell Axim X5 (PPC 2002) with Entourage for calendar,
contact and task items, and also have file synchronization so that I can
edit small documents on my Mac using Office v.X, on the PPC or on the
Windows PC at work where I sync with MS Active Sync.

I tired PocketMac but it has been a miserable experience.

Are there any other products that will do the synchronization?

I find it curious that Microsoft supports syncing Entourage with Palm
devices but not with their own PDA OS.

Except that it does not work with Entourage, only the native iCal and
Address Book.

They're planning to upgrade it to work with Entourage at some point, so soon
you should have another option. See the fourth FAQ at this page:

"real soon now" is not good enough for me.

I gave up on the Pocket PC in my situation and bought a Palm Tungsten T2
today. It doesn't have as much functionality as the PocketPC platform, but I
didn't use most of that. The Palm syncs with both Mac and Windows PC out of
the box, and with Entourage using the free download from MS. Works like a
charm and the sync is MUCH faster than with a PPC.

I will give the Dell Axim to my son who is entirely in the Windows world.

I'm still mystified as to why Microsoft support syncing Entourage with Palm
but not with their on PocketPC platform.
