I'm having a problem with synching/backing up the database. Specifically, I
use an application called FoldersSynchronize (from SoftToBe) to duplicate
the Documents folder of my desktop to my PowerBook. This is one of many
backups I do, but I do like having a clone of my desktop on my labtop.

This worked fine until I started migrated from mail.app to entourage(2004)
last week. The issue is I cannot move the database to the laptop. Or rather
I cannot overwrite the existing database on my laptop.

I get the following error.

Cannot replace the file"Users/..{the Powerbook}../Main Identify/Database
with "Users/...{the Desktop}/}../Main Identify/Database

Error (-51)

This also happens for mailing lists, rules, and Signatures.

I get the same error when I just try to drag the database from the desktop
to the PowerBook. The only way I can get it there is to delete the existing
database and then transfer it. Does any one know if there is a step I can
take to allow me to replace one database with the other?

Thanks in advance

John Paul

Make sure that the Database Daemon & all Office applications are closed on
both machines before attempting this.
