Setting meetings "private"

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

Hi, I like to be able to invite people in a firm for meetings via Entourage, however I do not have the option of setting the meeting "private" (tick a box). What should I do about this? Many thanks & regards, efi

This is only possible when sending from an Exchange account and won't
work with POP. The "Private" feature is an Exchange only feature.

When composing a new mail message make sure you have your Exchange
calendar selected before making your new appointment. Create a new
calendar event and then select Event --> Private.

Thnx Bill, I have the software installed at home on my laptop, just as I used to have Outlook installed. This means that I don't have an exchange server? Or is my laptop also the server?

Exchange Server is a brand name for Microsoft's E-mail server software
and is not intended for casual home use. You'll only find Exchange
Servers in corporate businesses or educational institutions. Some
service providers offer hosted Exchange accounts.

Entourage and your laptop would be considered "clients" of whatever type
of server you're connecting to.
