You can do an Email merge using Word X's Data Merge Manager, which will do
exactly that. Follow the Help in Word for Data Merge Manager, choosing to
Create--> Form Letters, Data Source-->Office Address Book, Merge Field (Drag
and Drop into Document)-->First_Name, Merge-->Query Options (choose
categories and/or contacts by name), To Email (as Text, HTML or as
Attachment).

That will send separate email messages to each recipient to your Outbox:
there will be no problem with your ISP's recipient limit. (Or if there is,
send 50 at a time.) Word's Data Merge Manager is pretty fantastic, and has
great integration with Entourage.

Simple. When using the Data Merge Manager, when you get to the second step
"Data Source/Get Data", don't choose Office Address Book but rather "Open
Data Source" and choose your Excel file. Voilà!

(If you want to get your data from the Excel file into Entourage, if you're
not concerned with categories or separate lines in the Notes, you might find
it easiest just to export the Excel file as a Tab-Delimited Text File and
import that into Entourage using File/Import Contacts. If you are concerned
with categories and paragraphs in the Notes, then you could get my shareware
scripts Export-Import Entourage X from
