 - Birthday reminders have disappeared Can anyone help with the issue? I've just copied/pasted from James original entry since it's the exact same thing that's happening to me: Hello, March 13, 2008: I'm using Entourage 2008 (12.0.1) with Exchange 2007 as well as Outlook 2007. If I enter a birthday for a contact via Outlook, a reoccurring calendar reminder is automatically added to my Exchange calendar. As soon as Entourage syncs with Exchange, I get an overdue reminder via MyDay. Suddenly, Entourage wipes out the calendar entry in Exchange/Outlook. This is occurring over and over, no matter how many birthdays I enter into my contacts. I'm certain it's Entourage removing the entires, as its on a MBP and not always running (like my desktop is). Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any suggestions for preventing this from happening? Or do I need to chalk this up to one more reason to not use Entourage with Exchange?  - Cannot download pictures using wireless router Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Email Client: pop .: Hello. I am running OS 10.5.2. (9C31) on a MacBook, and Entourage 11.4.0. The last update applied is 11.4.1. I use the MacBook with a Linksys wireless router in my home, and have had no problems downloading pictures and HTML in e-mail messages since I bought the MacBook in late June 2007. My Entourage preferences are set to "Display complex HTML in messages", and "Show attached pictures and movies in messages." I took my MacBook on a trip on 23 March 2008 to San Francisco, and used it in a Marriott Hotel with an ethernet cable, and then went to Victoria BC. While there, I used wireless routers in the homes of friends, and could not download pictures or graphics embedded in Entourage e-mails. When I connected using an ethernet cable however, the pictures would download without a problem. I assumed this had something to do with settings of my friends' routers. However, now I am back home using my own router, and I still cannot download HTML and pictures within Entourage e-mails! If I plug an ethernet cable from my router into my MacBook, it works fine. I have no idea why this might be happening. Has anyone experienced this, or have any idea why this is happening? It is incredibly frustrating. I have posted in other forums with no success. I've looked everywhere for an answer, including on the Entourage Help Page (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/). Can anyone help me with this one? I don't know what to do! Argh! I suddenly noticed that the events that had been in the My Day panel were no longer there. I figured maybe the day had passed since it was after midnight now, but when I went into my Entourage calendar, I noticed ALL my appointments and everything were missing...even those that Entourage placed in iCal! I managed to re-synch everything back together (thank goodness) from my PDA. Has anyone else had events suddenly disappear from your entire calendar? First is it possible because to create groups is greyed out?  - Entourage 12.0.0 Resending Email Icon Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Email Client: pop In an older version of Entourage I was able to hit the resend button which appeared among the many icons when I was viewing a particular email within the "sent items" folder.  - Entourage 2008 / Exchange 2007 / LDAP failures (-17799) I am having issues getting Entourage 2008 to perform LDAP lookups with my DC/GC in an AD environment. I have it configured the same as a co-worker, but I get an error -17799 every time I try to do a lookup. I have the "This server requires me to log in" checkbox ticked. I have tried 4 different DC's in my environment and still get the same message. I have my Exchange server set up to the OWA address (https://webmail.domain.net/exchange/emailaddress@domain.net) and email works fine. Please let me know if I missed something brutally obvious. I use .Mac Mail at home as an IMAP. (Beats me how or why - - someone must've told me "do it that way!"). Is there a reason why I might want to change my POP to an IMAP? If so, why? Basically, at home I have a wireless router (D-Link DI-524) that I access the internet with on my mac book. Now I can access the internet fine, no problems at all. I use VPN Tracker 5.0 from Equinox to access my work exchange server and use Entourage as my mail client. This is where the problems arise. My VPN tracker says it connects fine and it does. When I open Entourage, I can not access my emails properly and the operation consistantly times out. This only happens when I am behind this DLINK router. No other place has this issue. When I travel, it works fine. Can anyone help me or lead me in the right direction? I have called DLink, Equinox, Bellsouth and Microsoft and no one knows anything and I am stuck in the vicious cycle of one company telling me to call the other company. Thank you in advance. All of them. The date is the same for both sent and received messages. They all say 2/8/2008. This is a Bad Thing and I'd like to figure out where it's happening (or is it an Exchange "feature") so that I can disable it. I've searched the forums and it appears that others have the same issue but the standard solution of "Check your rules" doesn't apply. I used to use "Watch Your Back" under Outlook to successfully blow away read receipts, but I don't think there's equivalent for Entourage. Or is there?  - Drag and drop attachments to iPhoto I'm quite a newbie, running OSX Leopard, iPhoto 8, and Office for Mac 2008. Before installing Office for Mac, I was using Apple Mail, and I was able to drag and drop photo attachments directly on the iPhoto icon on the dock. iPhoto does not seem to allow the same procedure from Entourage, though - dragging a jpg, for example, directly on the iPhot icon on the dock, does not launch iPhoto, nor does it add the photo. I CAN drag the photo to the desktop, THEN to iPhoto, and THEN to the trash. Messy/awkward/too many steps. My preference would be that this folder is not highlighted with the HUGE quantity of junk emails (the number is listed in brackets when they are received).  - Entourage and Exchange GAL Hi everyone! Does anyone know what protocol Entourage (2004 or 2008) uses to lookup Exchange contacts in GAL. I guess what I am trying to find out is how exactly does Entourage connect to the GAL? We seem to be having an issue where some contacts at other site locations do not populate within the list when typing a persons email address or name in the To field. And even when we use the Check Name button, they still do not appear. But on the PC end they do appear. I was wondering if maybe it had something to do with the information added to the Advanced tab of the Exchange account when configured.  - Reply arrow not syncing between Entourage and Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Email Client: Exchange I use both Entourage 2008 and Outlook 2003 using the same Exchange account. The reply flag that lets you visually know when you've replied to only shows up on the client you actually reply to the email from. For instance, I reply to an email in Entourage 2008 on my Macbook Pro, then later that day switch over to using Outlook 2003 on my work desktop computer, but I do not see the "reply" arrow indicating that I already replied to that email. And, vice versa... the same things happens if I reply from Outlook... the arrow does not show up in Entourage. It would seem like this is an Exchange problem... does anyone have this same problem or a fix for this? It has been driving me and a lot of other people crazy in our company.  - I/O Error When I attempt to open Entourage I get a message stating that I should it cannot access the database and I should rebuild it. When I attempt to do that I get an I/O error.  - How do I get Entourage to start Syncing Address Book again? Entourage 2008 (12.0.1) Synchronize contacts with Address Book and .Mac (though I don't use .Mac) was working fine (as it did with Entourage 2004) until last week when it suddenly stopped working AFTER it wiped my Address Book contacts! It's the simplest kind of Sync -- just replace my startup disk's Address Book contacts with my startup disk's Entourage contacts (I'm not on a network, or syncing to/from a peripheral drive, or anything else complicated, and I only have one Entourage identity) -- but it just stopped working. I tried rebuilding permissions, running maintenance scripts and cleaning caches using Onyx 1.9.4b2, and restarting, but nothing helped. Luckily, I was able to restore an old Address Book contacts from my Time Machine disk and then turned Synch Services off. But what is causing this? How do I fix it?  - How do I backup my entire Entorage 2008 data? I need to reformat my iMac, which holds Entourage 2008 and all of my Entourage data.  - Split/broken recipient when replying or forwarding Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Email Client: Exchange Hello, We're in the process of rolling out Office 2008 on ~100 Macs at our office and we've run into a show stopper with Entourage 2008. If you receive and e-mail from a sender with a comma and a character such as åäö or an apostrophe in their name, the recipient address breaks/splits in half when replying or forwarding. If, for example, I receive an e-mail from a sender who has their name entered in this fasion: "Bivrén, John", I cannt reply to his e-mail without manually deleting the To: adresses and re-entering it manually. This was not the case with Entourage 2004 and other e-mail clients such as Apple Mail or Outlook 2003/2007 on Windows. Please advice. Or preferably, issue a fix for this bug. Thank you.  - Entrourage 2008 and Exchange 2007 Hi, I hope someone here can help. We have a Hosted Exchange 2007 environment and use OWA. I Tried to connect entourage to this Address using the https://..../exchange OWA Address and the user@exampledomain.de userid/password that works fine with the Web Client. Domain.de is obviously for our domain After a short pause entourage displays the error message Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account ³xxxx² returned the error ³Logon failure: unknown username or bad password.² Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. .... I am at a loss what should I have for AccountID: user@exampledomain.de Domain: blank password: xxxxx Or Must I put something in DOMAIN and if so what? I have tried every combination I can think of but must be missing something. Our provider is a Windows Bigot and will only support Outlook from Windows and although I will now change providers I would like to get this working. Also does the provider have to install something special on the server to support external Entourage? Thanks for any help even is it is just to tell me it can¹t be done.  - Entourage converts attachments to images When I drag and drop a PDF into the body of an email message, Entourage converts the file into PNG format instead of sending it as an attachment. When I finish typing a new email, I can't send my email or attach or insert anything because the buttons are greyed out.

I need to save it as a draft and then hit the send button.

this is really starting to be a pain.
