 - Reloaded OSX - Entourage 2004 - Lost emails I was having printer issues and the tech at Mac told me I needed to archive and reload osx. I assummed (carelessly) that my emails were going to be archived as well. I was able to recover everything but my emails. Anyone know if they are completely gone????  - HTML Signatures in Entourage 2004 Running Entourage 2004 on G4, my email signature is an HTML file, which calls some gifs as the logo part of the signature is animated.  - Importing from Now Contact- please help! Hello- I am trying to import contacts from now contact to my entourage account. It gives me an error message that says: :file Now Contact cannot be found" A trial version of Now Contact is installed- and I opened the program before trying to import as suggested entourage help- although they assured me that a trial version should work as the standard software! Any suggestions? I am guessing it has something to do with not paying for now contact yet but i certainly dont want to if it will continue having this problem.  - Recurring e-mail invitations? I would like to send out a reminder by e-mail every month a week before a recurring meeting. That is, I want to have Entourage automatically generate an e-mail message to a group to remind them about the meeting. Is there a way to do this with the <Invite> function in Entourage?  - Migrating Entourage 2004 data from a dead powerbook g4 to a new one. My powerbook G4 went dead. Applecare told me that I could salvage my data by connecting my mac to another mac via a 6pin to 6pin firewire. I did this and the other mac recognized mine as an external drive source. I migrated all of my data onto the new mac in preparation of doing an erase and install on my dead powerbook. Does anyone know WHERE the my Entourage files are kept?  - Task syncing I've just discovered an issue when I sync Entourage to my Treo 650. Basically what happens is the sync resets any recurring tasks... Example... If I set a task for weekly on Monday, wed, and Fri, with no end date, the sync will reset the task to daily, with an in date of "after 10" occurences.  - FIND command does not work on contacts I have used Entourage X for a couple of years with no problems to speak of untiil now. I go to Edit, Find and type in the name of a contact and it finds NOTHING.....very frustrating since I use this feature probably 50 times a day. All of my data is in Entourage and I have to access it frequently. I can look at the Contacts list in alphabetical order and find the contact that way, but that is very time consuming. Can anyone help? I'm using Mac OS 10.4.6. Also, I don't know why Microsoft didn't include an envelope printing feature in Entourage.  - IMAP as default mailbox All of my users have an Exchange Mailbox installed as well as an IMAP mailbox configured. I have set the IMAP to be default, yet when users go to compose a new message it defaults to the Exchange Server.  - Entourage 2004 and 10.4.6 We upgraded the OS on a G5 from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6. After the upgrade Entourage no longer works. We get an error -3176 whenever we try and send or receive mail from our Exchange server. The message indicates that the server can't be found and that the DNS settings are incorrect.  - Deleted emails: NOT deleting. Hello... hope you can help or point to the possible causes. In this case were using Exchange 2003 SP1 and the clients are Entourage 2004 11.2.3... Recently, we've noticed that some Entourage clients who have breached their mailbox limits are now unable to delete mails. Or rather, Entourage shows that their mail has been deleted, but the actual deletion on the server either isn't happening or if it is, the space isn't being purged. This has led to some very angry users with "full" mailboxes, even though they insist that they've deleted tens of megabytes of emails/attachments.  - Global Address List Support--Entourage 2004 I'm an Exchange 2003 administrator in a Windows 2000 environment. We support Entourage 2004 clients on 10.3.9. I've installed Office 2004's Service Pack 2 along with the update 11.2.1 in hopes that my Mac users could use the Global Address List instead of using check names to check against the Active Directory via LDAP.  - Attach or embed PDF when merging to email? Using Office 2004 for Mac (11.2.3), we are trying to merge to email between Word and Entourage. The mail merge works fine using Query Options to a category in the Office Address Book. BUT, we are trying to embed or attach a PDF document to the Word document we are merging. If we drag-and-drop the PDF file into Word, it appears as an embedded picture, but only the first page of the PDF. It shows up as a too-small-to-read, out-of-focus image in the recipient's email. Is there a way to embed a PDF file in the Word mail merge doc so that all pages show up, and they are enlargeable? Or is there a way to ATTACH a PDF file to the Word document that becomes the main body of the outgoing email merge?  - Entourage adds .doc to my .rtf docs! Anyone else having this issue? I often send .rtf docs from Word through Entourage. When the document shows up in Entourage, it has added a .doc at the end. So I get something like salesletter.rtf.doc, which seems a little lame. Anyone have any ideas on how to stop the program from appending a .doc suffix? Thanks!  - Ent Freezing on StartUp I have just noticed a new (to me) problem with ENT 2004 V 11.2.3 on startup. It load, POPs the mail and freezes. The only escape is to use the OSX Force Quit.  - Problem viewing HTML in Entourage Since the latest round of MS patches (this week), some users have seen messages come in with blank bodies in Entourage. They can see the body of the message when reading it in OWA, or Outlook on a PC, etc. They can also see the contents of the body if they view the source in Entourage. After troubleshooting the issue for a little, I nailed the problem down to happening under the following circumstances: A rich client (IE on PC) user using OWA replies to, or forwards a message to a recipient using Entourage. Things work fine if the OWA user makes a New message, this only seems to be a problem when forwarding or replying. Looking at the differences between the source codes of the new message that is visible in Entourage and a reply that is not visible in Entourage shows some differences that would probably make more sense if I knew my way around code but here goes my attempt to describe it: In the messages that are visible in Entourage (New message from OWA) the source code starts out with <html> then <head> followed by a bunch of good stuff then a </head> to close that part out as would be expected, followed by the body. In the messages that don't display the body in Entourage, it starts with <HTML dri=ltr> then <HEAD> followed by some other good stuff, but where I'd expect to see the close head there's this instead <BASE href=HEAD>. There's no </head> in the code at all. It just goes to the body after that line. I might be missing something but this seems like a problem. Maybe most browsers and email clients make the assumption that if they see the body starting and don't see the head section closed, it's ok to move onto the body, I'm not sure. I'd be interested to see if anyone else out there can duplicate the problem. I have Exchange 2003 servers patched to the current levels (OS and Exchange). Ever since the switch to daylight savings time, when I add a new calendar event I get the warning "Event and computer time zones do not match. She is fairly computer illiterate and lives remotely from me so I would be greatful if you could help me guess what she may have done. She had a bunch of emails saved in folders.  - Shared Project (1000+ Contacts) Crashing Database Daemon / 16008 Error I have many networked users with networked homes served on an Xserve. All run Office 11.2.3 locally. A shared project is set up on one for the sole purpose of sharing contacts with the others (which I think is the only way to share contacts over a LAN). I encountered the same situation as you did. My workaround was to
remove the account and to create it again. It has been so lucky that I
haven't hit the situation again. Before removing account, you may need
to save any messages that you want to keep.
