The default setting for Rules is the Inbox. Where are your messages going?
Did you check your Mailing List Manager rules?
There are three types of rules used in Entourage to manage your mail. The
Mailing List Manager (MLM) and Junk Mail Filter (JMF) are names for
specialized rules. Rules are custom rules that you create.
The order of execution on Rules:
Mailing List Manager
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules run in order listed)

There is no preference file for corrupt rules.
