    - Entourage and Outlook My boss has a PC with Outlook on it. Can I import his contacts and = calender=20 to my Entourage on MAC? If so, how do I do this?     - IMAP Update List problem, Office X Hi gang, I am having an issue with an IMAP inbox. When new mail arrives, the inbox message list does not update to show the new mail. The only way it shows up in the inbox, is if I switch to another folder, then switch back to the inbox, or hit apple + L to refresh the list. Does anyone have suggestions to help with this? My send and receive schedule is set for 2 minutes. 'Refresh List' is not an option in Schedules, or I would do that every couple minutes. I was looking at the accounts panel, and noticed stuff about Live Sync. What the heck is that? Thanks for the help.     - Exchange synch trouble I'm having trouble getting Entourage X to properly synch to my Exchange mailbox. When I enter in my account and server info, I can see my mail and my folders just fine, but I can't see any non-mail information in my mailbox. No contacts, no calendar, no notes and no tasks. I see those folders, mind you, but the records in them list as if they were e-mail messages. When I click on the Address Book, Calendar, Notes or Task icons I don't see any of my information.     - autocomplete contacts not in address book I am running the original version of Entourage on a Mac G5 / OS X 10.3.5; all Office updates are installed. When I try to send a new email, the autocomplete function lists names that are not a part of my address book, some of them are names that were deleted, others I've never heard of.     - Any way to do this? I'm new to Entourage, but this has been happening and driving me crazy, because it's never happened with another email program. When I go to address an email, I get a laundry list of people's email addresses of people I've either responded to or have received emails from.     - Entourage 2004: Preview Pane prefs for different folders? I am not sure what the problem is, but I like my inbox to have a preview pane but my IMAP or Server Accessible POP accounts to have no preview pane open. I use the online accounts for spam. Unfortunately, if I change the preview pane view in the inbox or the server view, the setting is changed in all views.     - image size/resampling? Hi, I'm new to mac. I just got office 2004, and everything is great except = for=20 one problem. I love to insert pics into my email. With office 2003 (on = my=20 PC), you could resize an image by grabbing it's corners. After that, = right=20 clicking on it would, among other things, allow you to resample that = image=20 to a different resolution (say 96dpi).     - Mail Rule I am trying to create a rule whereby Entourage will move incoming email from Lists to which I belong to a folder on my desktop. I have an Applescript in the Entourage Script Menu Items folder which I use to do that, running the script on each incoming List message in turn, but I'd like it to automate it.     - Accessing Public Folder Addresses I have Entourage 2004 and Exchange Server 2003. Does anyone know how=20 to access a public folder with shared contacts. When I used Outlook = 2001=20 for Mac with Exhcange Server 2003 I had no problems accessing public=20 folders with a shared office calendar and shared office contacts.     - Entourage v.X quit applying rules Not sure what happened but Entourage has quit applying rules. It used to = work fine, storing copies of incoming mail in folders based on "From" = group=20 membership.     - Massive duplicates of holidays in Calendar and address book with Just set up a new Exchange client with Entourage 2004, and am having a problem I've seen with one of our other clients as well. The Progress window is CONTINOUSLY updating the calendar, duplicating some unknown set of holidays to infinity, it seems. This client has been running for a few days, and had over 20,000 holiday events in the calendar. He also had over 600 contacts in his address book, although he couldn't personally have entered more than 10 or 20 of them. Where are these events and contacts coming from, and how do we stop them? I get an error message from the Internet connection software when I try to get mail or news with entourage : "Can't find the connecting device". I get this error message just when using entourage 2004, and only when using dial up conncetion. No problems from my office ( cable) and with my mobile, via Gprs.     - RE; entourage lost contact with keychain OK I solved it. My keychain setup was a little complex anyway since I'd imported one from my last mac (but it was working before!). I went to the keychain access tool in utilities, and used "keychain first aid" (makes sense). Somehow the port setting had got corrupted on the mail accts. Don't ask me how... I'm using one Exchange account to check email...but when Entourage goes to check the email, I'm getting an error message coming up...it says, "Mail could not be received at this time.     - Dialog: "Reading messages is not allowed for this folder" I just upgraded a client from Outlook Express 5 (OS 9) to Entourage for OS X (the first vX version, not 2004). She had several IMAP and POP accounts, which all imported without error. Upon clicking the Send & Receive button in Entourage she gets a message "Reading messages is not allowed for this folder." The dialog box does not indicate which folder is causing the problem. Manually going into each of the inboxes does not generate any error. Mail seems to be coming in fine when each inbox is updated this way. Any idea what this message means? Is Entourage having a problem locally, or with a mail server?     - Importing contacts from Outlook to Entourage I am trying to import contacts from a Windows based PC using Outlook 2003 onto a Mac using Entourage. I export the contacts into a .csv however when I try to import them into Entourage it thinks that each new line within the notes field is a new contact and displays the next contact with the next line of the notes in the name field. Is there any way of telling it where the notes field starts and ends. I tried using exactly the same csv file to import the contacts onto Outlook and Entourage. Outlook recognises new lines in the notes field and imports them correctly but Entourage does not as described above. It is very important that the notes field is imported.     - Entourage 2004 authentication errors Hi y'all, I've been searching through this list (and various other resources), but I can't find a solution to my problem, so here it is. Perhaps one of you experts can help me out: I receive e-mail fine on Entourage. However, with the e-mail server that is my primary account, and ISP, from which others use pop access with other versions of Entourage, I cannot send mail. I am using pop access, and it downloads fine. If I choose not to require smtp authentication, then it will send to within the same domain, but gives me the error 17092 if I try to send outside of the domain. If I choose to require smtp authentication, then it will not send (at all) and gives me the error (which many people seem to have gotten) 17897.     - Syncing between Entourage X on a G4 Mac at home and Outlook 2003 under Windows XP at work I just purchased a new iQue 3600 by Garmin. It runs Palm 5.0+. Using the Missing Sync for the Mac I am suppose to be able to sync between my Mac and the iQue. I have no problem syncing between the iQue and my Dell PC using the software that came with the iQue. My problem is that I would like to have the contact database be kept essentially the same and always up to date on both my Mac and my PC. I don't know of a way to use both the PC and the Mac without screwing up the data on one machine or the other - if I can even sync with both systems using the same PDA. Does anyone have a solution?     - Bug in Entourage VCAL Code There seems to be a bug in the way Entourage codes an invitation for a recurring meeting. When my meeting request is sent from Entourage and received by Outlook, Outlook thinks the date range ends one day before it actually does. This causes Outlook to omit the final event. The following shows the difference in how the two programs code a meeting which starts on Oct 1st, 8-9am, and repeats weekly until 10/15....     - Sync with Palm AND internet Free/Busy? I'm a Wintel (XP) user with some technical expertise, my business partner is an Mac (10.2) user with no technical expertise. We both use Palms to keep our personal calendars. I sync mine to Outlook for Windows, then use Outlook's Internet Free/Busy function to publish my calendar to our ftp server.     - Printing Problem in Entourage 2004 I recently noticed something strange happening everytime I print an email in entourage 2004. At the end of each line, there is an "!". Even when there are line breaks, there is an "!" at the beginning of the line break. When I view the emails on my computer, it looks normal, without the "!". Even in the quick preview screen (in the print menu), no "!"s are showing up. I tried different printers, and the "!" still shows up. Even clicking the default "Preview" function in OS 10.3.5, the preview shows the "!" at the end of each line break. I tried reinstalling the printers, adjusting the print settings, adjusting the printing fonts, but nothing alleviates the problem. I have tried printing HTML emails as well as plain text emails.     - Grey zone in SENT folder Suddenly I have an apparent bug/corruption that affects only my SENT=20 folder: there is a grey "stripe" (for lack of better word) where a sent = message=20 should be.     - Entourage crashes after machine reboot I've got a weird problem with Entourage 2004. I am using it with an = IMAP=20 server. Each time I start it after my Powerbook is rebooted/turned on, = it=20 crashes. In Outlook there is an option for tracking sent emails. I can be notified when the email is delivered and read. I can not find the same option on her Mac. She is using the latest version of Entourage. Does anyone out there know if Entouage has the same capabilities. If so please post the answer. My Mac loving wife would truly be happy .     - Entourage & IMAP Entourage 2004 w/auto update applied When getting mail from either .mac or my other IMAP server, it immediately marks it deleted. You can watch it do it in Entourage. What I've tried so far: 1. Deleted ALL rules because of issues expressed about them in other messages. 2. Checked, changed and rechanged how Entourage is supposed to handle deleted messages. In all cases it does do what I tell it to, but it doesn't wait for me to delete the message, it does it automatically. 3. All this was on .mac, so I got another IMAP mail server to use. Same results. 4. Installed OSX onto a second partition and loaded a virgin Entourage on it. This works as advertised. 5. Ran the virgin Entourage from the new partition under the old OSX, works just like the one on the OSX. Deletes automatically. In all cases, mail.app from Apple still chugs along fine with no problems. But I want to use the project integration within Entourage and haveing email is just part of it. My boss has a PC with Outlook on it. Can I import his contacts and =

If the boss's account is on an Exchange Server, you can set up the boss's
account as an Exchange account in Tools > Accounts.

Or, better yet, if you both have Exchange accounts on the same server and
you're using Entourage 2004, he or she can add you as a delegate. This is
explained in detail in Entourage Help and the whitepaper
<http://snipurl.com/84sg>. If he or she grants you appropriate permissions,
you can connect to and view his or her dara by going to Tools > Accounts,
opening the account, clicking the "Delegation" tab, clicking the "Add"
button, and adding the user ID of the person who granted you access (the
boss).
