 - Entourage Calendar Time Preference This should be easy for you guys. :-) For the life of me, I can't get the calendar to use AM/PM time format. My system time format is AM/PM as is the other calendar program I'm running. Entourage insists it uses the system settings. Yes, I should probably learn the 24 hour format being that I'm an international gal but it's driving me nuts. I'm running OS10.4.+ and 11.2.5 Entourage. Thanks! Tag: Please Help Tag: 69611

 - Calendar event in Entourage 2004 set for PM appears as AM I am running Entourage 2004 on a PowerMac G5 with OSX 10.3.9 on an Exchange 2003 server network environment. After upgrading to the latest update version of Office 2004, v11.2.5 (build 060620) for Entourage, I began to experience a problem with the calendar: When I would accept a meeting from someone else scheduled from 3:00 - 4:00 "PM", it would show up as being from 3:00 - 4:00 "AM" in my calendar. I opened the actual calendar event within Entourage and changed it to "'PM" and saved it. I then quit out of Entourage and re-built the database within Entourage. The problem still exists. I've checked all the settings for preferences and time zones (within the OSX and Entourage) and everything appears to be properly set. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  - "Entourage has encountered a problem and needs to close..." Greetings, My Entourage fails each time I try to launch it. I get the "Entourage has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" error window. Help! My Netscape is also not working properly. I have tried some of the suggestions on this group, but my Entourage will not even launch. The icon starts to bounce and the error report comes out right away. Holding down the shift key while launching does not work. I have 10.3.9. Suggestions?!  - Calendaring Delegate Problems I have a user who is delegate for several room calendars at her building. The delegation works just fine in Outlook 2001 and Outlook 2003. The exchange server has the account settings right. She cannot manage the calendars in Entourage. She's running OS X 10.3.9 and Entourage 11.2.5. She receives the meeting notices for all the meetings in her inbox (which is right). When she tries to accept meetings, she gets a notice in that message - "To manage events on behalf of xxxxxxxx, you must configure your delegation settings" We've done that and they look fine in Accounts, Delegates tab. What I've done on the Exchange side: Created a NEW meeting room - set delegation rights, giving the user delegate responsibilities. Created the delegation settings in Entourage (on the users account settings) Deleted all permissions on all the meeting rooms and set them up new. Created the delegation settings in Entourage (on the users account settings) Nothing changes - she still receives the notice that she needs to set up delegation settings.  - Can't get Yahoo mail on Entourage I have two problems: 1) Every time I try to get Yahoo mail through Entourage I get a message that my username/password or security settings may be incorrect. I've checked everything over a dozen times, but it still doesn't work. I found out that I'm supposed to pay $20/year to do this so I figured that was the problem. I followed the links to sign up for Yahoo Wallet. But that leads to my second problem: 2) When I try and sign up for Yahoo wallet, I fill out the online form and click "continue."  - Merging Entourage 2004 Calendars? Hi! I've got a question from a user about merging Entourage calendars. He wants to copy all appointments from his calendar on the Exchange server to the calendar that is on his computer and automatically copy any new appointments from his Exchange calendar to the calendar on his computer.  - RULES SUDDENLY STOPPED I am beside myself. I have Entourage 2004 on OS 10.4.7 and suddenly my Rules have stopped functioning. I have gone through the procedure of holding the OPTION key down and rebuilding and doing all the radio buttons in that dialog box and yet my Rules will not kick in. What on earth can be the problem?  - Importing from OSX mail.app? Hello, I have a mail.app account that's around 9GB in size. I don't think Entourage can handle an account of this size (I think it's limited to 4GB in size) - is this true? If so, does anyone know a way I can get this old account into Entourage? I'd like to be able to break the mail.app account into smaller "chunks" of around 3GB in size and just have different identities in Entourage to manage them? Any help would be most appreciated!  - Error 3260--still can't send mail I sent a previous message about Entourage not sending mail. I followed the advice given in the reply I received, all except for running the tcp check (?). However, I've noticed others are having problems sending mail also, except under a different error code. The error code I get whenever I try to send is 3260; perhaps this will give someone a clue as to what the problem is. I'm nervous about getting too deep into changing settings without someone right at my shoulder to catch and correct mistakes, so I'll wait a bit and see what comes up about error 3260. thanks!  - Error 5530 hi there, I get this error message whenever I try and send mail from Entourage on my laptop (incoming email is fine, and Entourage also works perfectly on my desktop). I've made a thorough search of the pages relating to this error code, and the only solution on offer seems to be to toggle the authentication settings in the "advanced sending options" section of the Accounts/username section. This doesn't work for me, and as far as i can see doesn't work for quite a few other people.  - Printing labels, printing lists, sorting etc.. I am using Entourage 2004 v. 11.2.3 on a Mac running OSX I am managing a database of club member's names, addresses, telephone etc. I need to have a complete list to mail a brochure to (about 500 names) once a year and this list includes a list of 200 or so members, which change monthly as names are added and get a monthly mailing. My problems are listed below, some of which I have not been able to find in this forum others I have but still do not understand. I hope someone will have the patience to explain this to me. 1. When I print the labels in Word, they are sorted by FIRST NAME, of all things. They are sorted in the Entourage database by last name, but print labels sorted by first name. I would LIKE them to print out in zip code order, since I am doing bulk mailings. This is my most pressing problem. 2. Do I have to create a separate Entourage list for the active members names each month? I have them sorted by category, but when I go to Word and do a mail merge, the labels contain the entire database, not just the category I have selected. 3. I'd like to have a hard copy of the Entourage database. It appears there are two ways to print the database: name and phone number, or in a format with the name address phone etc all on separate lines, which gives me a 50 page list when I only have 200 names printing out. (I loved using Panorama, what a versatile way to manage a list, with Classic, and am about to spend the extra money to upgrade and use it, Entourage seems extremely unwieldy.)  - Switch identities Hi I had to reinstall microsoft office again, which I did. In users/name/documents/micosoft user data/office 2004 identities, I transferred from external hard drive my main identity. I've stored it there. But when I go to entourage either it said 'this version won't let you open this identity,' or it opens and then when i try to switch, there is nothing there - even though the database under the main identity in the above place is 1.5gb.  - Saving Embedded Images I am new to the Mac world and Entourage having converted from PC and Outlook. My family frequently sends pictures by embedding then in the email rather thatn via attachments. Is there any way to save these pictures?  - Can't send with Entourage Hi, all, I just started using Entourage with the new MacBook Pro I just bought. I bought the Office for Macs within the last month, so I'm assuming I'm using the latest of everything out there. I had used the mac mail program, but switched over to Entourage when I loaded Office on, but now I find that I can't send anything with it. it seems to receive just fine; in fact, i found all my mac messages imported over. but everytime I go to send a message, I get the error notice that Entourage can't connect to the Internet.  - Can't send mail through Entourage 2001, Outlook Express 5.0.6, and Entourage X Hello Foks, We have a few users left on our campus that are still using Outlook Express 5.0.6 and Entourage 2001 as their OS 9 e-mail clients. This problem also effects OS X users that are still using Entourage X. All updates and patches have been applied on all three clients along with any OS and security updates. Recently, our Exchange administrators updated the SMTP servers to the following: - Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 Since the upgrade, an error appears on the e-mail client with a code of 5530 when you try to send mail. Which states the following: The SMTP Server for "E-mail Account" does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by Entourage. To Send mail, try disabling SMTP authentication in the account settings or Talk to your administrator. This error code does not make any sense because the servers already required SMTP authentication and SSL before the update.  - Send but can't receive email-Entourage X I've reviewed threads on this topic plus Mactopia's troubleshooting but to no avail. Entourage stopped receiving emai but still sends. There aren't any error messages or "beach ball" hangups when I attempt to retrieve messages. Checking the web-based account that forwards messages to Entourage shows the messages that Entourage hasn't received. No settings have been changed and ISP function appears OK. I've done a "typical" database rebuild. I've had some previous instances of Entourage not sending or receiving messages when the computer's gone to sleep but these were seemingly cured w/a restart. I see there were some EntourageX/sleep bugs w/OS 10.1 but I'm running 10.4.7 (768 mb w/25 free gigs). This incident occurred after the computer was on all night (I typically shut down out of concern for Entourage's flakeyness). Any suggestions? Tag: Please Help Tag: 69557

 - No New Mail icon using Exchange with server-side rules Entourage 2004. We're testing a new Exchange 2003 server. In the past, on our old IMAP server, I would always get a new mail icon in the dock upon receiving messages. On the Exchange server I have created (through MS Outlook 2003) a lot of rules that pre-filter messages into subfolders at the server-side. Now when I get new messages, unless their destination is the Inbox, I get no new mail icon in the dock. Anyone else confirm this?  - Palm Sync to Selected Calendar Hello, I have a question regarding syncing my palm and Entourage 2004. Everything actually works, and worked the first time out. I am using Mark/Space Missing Sync instead of Palm's hotsync manager. My system is a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.4.7. I have all the latest patches to the Office 2004 set of apps. The problem is that I have an Exchange account setup in Entourage, which now has its own calendar. I also see that there is a "Calendar on my Computer" selection under the "Folders on My Computer" in Entourage. When I sync with the Palm all the calendar and contacts go to the Exchange account. I don't want that. I want the Palm Calendar to be sync'ed with the "On my Computer" calendar? is this possible? Is there some hidden setting that tells the conduit which calendar to push things to?  - Applescript Entourage: Manuever to specific folder from another application and processing the messages Hi, I am using a program that uses applescript to go to a user-selected mail message and take out the bits you want and reformat them by extracting the source and processing it. This is useful for compiling the myriad daily email messages and putting the links and comments into an easily readable html page or rss feed. Right now I'm moving the emails into that folder and flagging them, so the ideal would be, once they have been processed, they would be marked as "read" or moved to another folder called "processed" Not coming from an applescript background I looked around on macscripter.net/scriptbuilders (as well as the usual google searches) and didn't find a way to call subfolders or process messages. Two days ago, I couldn't send any email from my btinternet account via entourage - all other accounts - virgin, madasfish, own domain etc - all fine.  - Syncing Entourage between new Macbook pro and powerpcmac I have had the new Mac book Pro Intel based for 2 months and cannot get it to sync well using Palm Tungsten and a power pc Mac. It seems that the two computers will not recognize the changes that the other computer has made on the calendar. So I am stuck with just making the calendar changes on one computer and syncing with my palm then always having the palm overwrites the other computer.  - Don't send read receipt with Entourage 2004 + Exchange Server? I am using Entourage 2004 with Exchange Server 2003. Everytime somebody send me a mail and is requesting a read receipt Entourage is sending a read receipt without asking. Is there a chance to turn this off?  - Extract Email addresses from "Microsoft User Data" Entourage has been telling me it cannot access my database ... that I have to rebuild. Even after doing so several times and reinstalling Office twice I am still encountering these problems .. unable to run Entourage with access to my stored data. I have moved the "Microsoft User Data" folder out of my documents location to the desktop to allow Entourage to build a new "Microsoft User Data" folder which now of course is blank - no emails, no addresses. Now ... I have resigned myself that my email content history is ... well, history.  - Mirrored "image.pdf" file created when attaching PDFs to outgoing email? Hello, When I attach a PDF to an email through Entourage, the recipient(s) of the email get TWO attached PDFs. The first PDF is the original attached PDF, and the second is a PDF called "image.pdf" which is an exact duplicate of the PDF (other than the name). Does anyone know why/how this is happening? It's very confusing to our clients and email message balloon in size as a result of the duplication of the PDF (ie. an email with a 3MB attachment becomes 6MB on the client end). This is happening to clients at different companies, and only when sent from computer running Entourage (not happening when sending from mail.app). Any help would be greatly appreciated!  - Entourage connection to exchange through firewall not working. Similar to a person's message from last year, I cannot get entourage to connect to my corporate exchange server, it seems due to the firewall. I'm a bit puzzled by the problem. The IT people don't really understand the problem. While they had the old firewall Entourage would connect WITHOUT the SSL enabled. Now supposedly, SSL was supposed to be used but I keep getting a -39 error when trying to get it to connect with SSL, and I just tried without SSL to see what happens and hey it worked fine. Yesterday they upgraded the Sonicwall and Entourage stopped working. The IT people think that they haven't changed any settings, just upgraded the firewall. But Entourage will not connect. What I can do is connect with a web browser with no problem. And I can connect using Mail (with SSL turned off !!! ). And I can make an IMAP connection too. But I cannot get Entourage to connect to the Exchange server the way it should. I don't know enough to do more troubleshooting and hope someone can help. Tag: Please Help Tag: 69490

 - BCCs are not send if the From field is a delegate (Entourage/Excha I'm using the latest Entourage on Exchange 2000. When I send a BCC: message as a delegate, the To: address is delivered, the Sent Item in Entourage shows the BCC:, but the BCC: address is not delivered. If I look at the Sent Items in Windows/Outlook, the BCC does not show. If I send the BCC: as a delegate from Outlook, the message is sent properly. 1. How can I send BCCs as a delegate (or at least get an error that they are not delivered) from Entourage? 2.  - Server Storage Limits We are experimenting with setting server storage hard limits that will block users from sending mail when their mailboxes reach a certain size. I had a test message sent to my account that was intended to put me over the limit and restrict me from sending emails. I deleted the offending email and 30 minutes later I still could not send messages out. When I right-click my mailbox and check the storage tab under folder properties it still reports that I have an overzsized mailbox. Alternately, if I use the "Server Usage X 1.1" Script it reports a different size-- the reduced size I would have expected after deleting the message with the large attachment? It seems like eventually everything syncs up, but a 30 plus minute delay is not going to be acceptable. Can someone explain what might be going on here and if there is a fix?  - Signature for email account ending up in calendar items Here's a stumper... I have three email accounts set up, one POP, one IMAP, and one Hotmail. The IMAP account has a default signature and the POP account does not. The IMAP also has a digital certificate, but I don't think that is part of the issue. When the POP account is set as the default, I get the IMAP signature text showing up in the text box of new calendar events that I set up. When I have the IMAP account set up as the default account, the text box is blank, presumably because the POP account has no default signature text. Anybody else ever see this? I don't know how long it has been this way as I've had the IMAP account set as default ever since installing Office 2004. Particulars: Late 2005 iBook G4 Entourage 2004 v. 11.2.5 OS X 10.4.7 All the latest updates for both Ideas? Dave Tag: Please Help Tag: 69464

 - Project Center Watch Folders Watch folders are being created where the person who created the project is the only one with read and write privildges and the everyone else only has read priviledges. Even though we all choose to "Share it" (contact, notes, tasks) when accepting an invitation, our additions to the project don't show up on any computer but on our own computers, while the person who created the project can make additions and we see those because they have permission to write to the watch folder. I went into workgroup manager on our Tiger 10.4 server and found that this project as well as ones created very recently (like in the last week or so) show that no one except the project creator have read write privildges for the Watch Folder, the Files folder and the Archive File. In Workgroup Manager on the server, I can see the contents of the Archive file and all those folders (Calendar, Contacts, Notes, etc) are the same, the creator is the only one with writing priviledges. While I could go and change every new watch folder to the correct priviledges, this would basically suck. Can anyone think of anything that would cause the priviledges to the watch folder to be set so restructive? I swear, this was not the case two weeks ago. Plus, there haven't been any changes made, small or otherwise that could cause this to start happening. We create new projects in the center about 1 to 2 times per week. Any other oddity too is the watch folder for one project showed as Drop Box folders (folder icon with the arrow pointing down) - showing we could only add but not read - Weird? Main Project creator - MacBook Pro running 10.4.7 Me - PowerBook G4 running 10.4.7 Another user - iMac Intel - 10.4.7 All of us have Office 2004 11.2.5 Jessica PS, One thing I haven't tried was creating a project myself to see the rights to the Watch folder are restricted for others - may narrow done our usual project creator to be the problem. I am using a Mac G4 operating system 10.3.9. I have purchased a Palm
Z22 and I'm not able to sync it to Entourage. I have updated Office in
the past week. I can't find the conduit setting and keep getting
messages that the sync was interrupted. Please someone help me, I need
to be able to use the Z22 now. Do I need to buy Tiger in order to use
the Z22?

To avoid accidental data loss, synchronization between Entourage 2004 and
palmOne's new handhelds is turned off by default. Follow this procedure to
turn on synchronization after both Palm synchronization software and the
Microsoft Handheld Synchronization software have been installed:
1. Launch the HotSync Manager application (usually located in
HD/Applications/Palm)
2. Under the HotSync menu, choose Conduit Settings.
3. Double-click the "Entourage Conduit" entry.
4. Near the bottom, check the option to "Enable synchronization with these
new handhelds."
5. Click OK.
