Hello I use Entourage but cant find information in the Help guide of
how to create an out of office reply for myself. I have a small
business and use Entourage on one computer. Any help would be
appreciated. I may not be able to reply back to you asap. Any
instructions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi.
Just add a rule that looks like this:
If "all criteria are met"
all messages
Then reply
Here's where you have to click "Reply text" and enter your out of office
message. Notice however that for this method to work, your Mac (and
Entourage) must be running, and you've got to be online all the time.
Hope this was helpful
Michel

*Don't* do that for messages from any mailing lists.

Cheers,

Chris

Oops, I hadn't thought of that, thanks for adding this, Chris. So Wendy,
when you create the rule, make sure that Entourage's schedules don't
automatically download messages from a mailing list. If they do, then modify
the out of office rule by specifying the account (which should NOT be on a
mailing list!) in the "If" field for which you'd like to have the out of
office reply.
Now that should do it, I think.

That's wildly over the top. You don't need a separate email account just for
mailing lists, and you don't need to exclude everybody else who sends you
messages on the same account as your mailing lists. You just have to change
the "All messages" criterion ("If") in the Rule to "Is not from a mailing
list" - that's what the criteria are there for. For that to work, you first
have to "register" your mailing list(s) in Tools/Mailing List Manager -
which is a good idea in any case.

otherwise.
