Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had come up with a creative way of getting their
Notes and Tasks from their Exchange server into Entourage. I really like
Entourage but lack of syncing these (I'd even be happy with a manual
dragging, cutting/pasting, etc..) is kind of a pain from me. I can do it
with my Palm (sync notes and Tasks that is) but that is sometimes more
trouble than it is worth.

Thanks,

Andy

The only think I can think of is to use e-mail messages, contacts and/or
calendar events as tasks and notes. For example you could create a draft
message for each note, and a draft message with the subject line as the
task. Flag it for follow up, and then unflag it when you are done. You could
move these messages into a special "Tasks" folder to keep them away from
your real mail.

Dave, you must have heard by now of my scripts that will import contacts,
calendar, notes and tasks from Outlook to Entourage. You do seem to
studiously avoid mentioning them, for reasons best known to yourself.

Export-Import Entourage X, from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

There's a "Synchronizing.rtf" document that describes a rather complicated
way of synching regularly. Personally, I think I'd find it too much bother
myself. But it does work.

If I ever get any free time, I might come up with a new version that would
do much simpler automatic synching from Entourage 2004 (can't work in X).
But I don't know how much of a market there would be for this. It would be a
lot of work and would have to be a paid upgrade. In the meantime, the
current version does work.

Of course I've heard of your scripts, Paul, but the poster originally asked:

Which leads me to believe he's using Entourage directly against an Exchange
server without access to Windows or Outlook. If I'm right, your scripts
would be of no use to him.
