Due to the anally-retentive IT Manager where I work, I cannot use my laptop
to send SMTP email from within the University's network. This is usually not
a problem, as I can use the internal SMTP server to send my mail...

However...

I can't use that server from OUTSIDE the network, even with authentication,
which is where I'm having grief. I have to change my account settings when
I'm outside the network.

Apple's Mail.app will at least allow me to have multiple SMTP servers
configured and if one can't send mail it shows me the list and allows me to
select another.

Is there any way to do this in Entourage ?

Alternatively, is there any way I can have Entourage change settings
dependant on the IP address of my machine (203.10.x.x at work, and
192.168.x.x at home) ?

Paul Berkowitz' free AppleScript "SMTP Location X" might be what you're
looking for. Check it out here:

This script is great - only problem is that I generally leave the network
settings on automatic, 'coz I use wireless at home and wired at work.

Still - it's a great start... Thanks...
