Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

I have multiple email accounts and I have set them up using the "Allow online access (shows account in folder list)" option. I have also created a rule to send mail to the appropriate boxes. My problem with this is that a copy of the email shows up in MY INBOX (On My Computer, which is very annoying. I select "Move to Folder" and a copy stays in the seperate mailbox and My Inbox. When I want to delete the the last two, they all are deleted.

I also have created several rules for different incoming email and unless I manually say "Apply Rules" everytime I see email show up, it does not work.

Please help.

Nothing is wrong. This is how Entourage works with online access.

By default, all messages really do go to the Inbox "On My Computer". The
online access feature allows you to view each account's messages
separately from the other messages. These are not two different folders
but rather one folder and one "filtered view".

As for your rules problem, disable all rules and then re-enabled a few
at a time until you see where something fails. If necessary, delete and
recreate that rule.

Hope this helps!

The online access is not meant to be used an account view of your mail. It's
more of an extra feature to view your mail very similar to an IMAP account.
This is often useful to delete a corrupt message that is causing download
problems.
