After sending half a dozen emails to a group of four recipients, each
containing one or two small Word .doc attachments, I checked my ³Sent²
folder and only found two of the 6 outgoing messages there. They are not
still in the Outbox, and are not in Drafts...

I then created a new Mail View called Sent Today with the criteria Sent
less than one day....and the six messages show up and are marked as Sent.

?? What gives?? Why would they not be showing up in my Sent folder? To add
to the puzzle I have an auto forward for everything outgoing, that sends a
copy to another server for saving to another machine...and only two were
forwarded.

Any light would be appreciated :)

Were the missing ones sent to mailing lists? Have you got the ?file sent
mails in same folder¹ set for those lists on the Mailing List Manager?

I am getting problems with keeping some of my Sent emails. If I send
messages, sometimes I get an error that the sent message couldn¹t be added
to my IMAP mailbox, and it¹ll send it to the local folder instead.

1. I think this might happen if I spent time composing the message and I
didn¹t check email right before sending it. But still ...
2. ... Why don¹t the emails show up in my local ³sent items² folder either?
They seem to have just vanished. And I made sure I didn¹t have ³flagged
only² or ³unread only² checked.

Did the messages simply not get saved anywhere? I made a custom view to show
just ³sent today² messages, but the missing sent copy didn¹t show up.

Thanks, Darryl

I, also am missing my "sent" emails: the last one that shows is one I sent to
many ion Sept. 19 of LAST YEAR! I never really looked- - I simply assumed
they were going since the quote always came up "your message is on its way".
I do have the problem of msn dumping ALL my emails in the trash before I get
a chance to click on & read even one- - any ideas?? WILLOW
