I just noticed after a few days after having upgraded from X to 2004, that
all the notes that were under the personal tab in contacts are missing! Any
suggestions?

Thank you.

Do you mean the Notes that are under the "Other" tab, or the personal data
such as Birthday, Anniversary, Spouse, etc that are under the "Personal"
tab?

Well, you should certainly not have lost those notes. I haven't heard anyone
else report this, although these are still early days.

You could delete all your contacts and groups (because all the group members
will disappear anyway) from Entourage 2004 an quit. Launch Entourage X with
Option key down, doing an Advanced Rebuild. Check the contacts actually have
notes. Quit. Go to System Preferences/Accounts/Startup Items and remove the
multiple "Microsoft Database Daemon" items. Log Out (Apple menu) and log in.
Launch Entourage 2004. Do a File/Import/from Entourage X, and UNCHECK
everything except Contacts and Groups. Import from your X identity again.

That should get all the contacts back in and whole, complete with their
notes. If not (which I'd find hard to understand) it could be done with my
shareware Export-Import Entourage X scripts. But there's no good reason why
you should need those.

Well, I did that. And everything imported again and the notes were there. I
used the system for a few days and now, all the notes are gone again. :(
