I have an "Inbox" folder and 2 subfolders listing my 2 email identities within Entourage version 12.0.0. Just installed Microsoft Office 2008 yesterday so settings changed apparently, and I'd like them back. I'd like all the email to one address to go to the appropriate sub folder identity. NOT the big Inbox. Can you suggest what to do? Thanks. I'm on a Mac OS 15.

Check your Rules and Mailing List Manager (Tools menu) to see if there is
something acting that shouldn't be, or not acting that should be.

For more specific help we'll need more details about your setup. What types
of accounts are these?

I, too, see this problem. I set up rules to route my incoming messages based on the email address found in the "TO" field. This was working in Entourage 2004. It has stopped working in Entourage 2008.

(One should note that old and new Entourages have problems applying your rules. Some work, some don't. The ones that don't work will work if you apply them manually with the Message > Apply Rule command...but then only if you select a single message, not a collection of messages. I've found Rules to be buggy. Entourage can figure out the condition and apply the actions using the command on a single message, and sometimes it will do it when messages are received or sent...but not all the time.)

Per Walt Mossberg's Wall Street Journal review of Office for Mac 2008, you may need to open existing rules and press the "OK" button in order for them to work after upgrading. You should only need to do this once.

We're aware of this issue and plan on releasing a fix for it soon.

Hi,

Most likely you had a rule to move the mail to the proper folder (MENU:
Tools:Rules...). We have had reports of the rules not working after upgrade
and are looking into the issue.

A work around we did find, open up each rule for editing and then click OK
to save it. Then the rules should fire when new mail comes in. For mail
currently in your inbox folder, you can select these messages and then from
the Message menu, select Apply Rule and then All Rules to sort your current
list of messages.

I have Enterourage 2004: Suddenly, (after I upgraded to Leopard), messages coming in to my account are going in to Junk mail. No matter how many times I say "not junk", it still occurs. Most are from friends I've been receiving mail from forever. I've even removed junk mail protection to see if it helps and it didn't. Any suggestions?
Thnx

You probably have a rule, or mailing list manager task accidentally set
to move messages into that folder. Check every rule under Tools > Rules
and Tools > Mailing List Manager.

You must have a rule that is moving the message. The most likely culprit is
the Mailing List Manager (MLM). It's very easy to set up a MLM rule by
accident, when you are marking a message as 'not junk'. The wording of that
dialog is ambiguous to say the least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look
for MLM entries under the tools menu) with the incorrect destination folder
as the target folder. Mailing List Manager rules run before your other
rules.
