Hi,

We use an Exchange 2000 server, and I have upgraded to Entourage 2004 from
Entourage X (which went very smoothly!). We also have some computers using
Outlook 2001 (on OS 9) and various Windows versions of Outlook.

The Entourage 2004 users in the office have noticed that they are not
getting mail delivered to them, even though it has been addressed to them.
When they open Outlook (Windows or 2001) the mail is sitting there in the
Inbox (or subfolder) but it does not appear in the corresponding folder in
Entourage 2004. As far as Entourage is concerned, this email does not
exist. Note: They only opened Outlook when they had found out that they had
not received the message. Other later messages had been delivered to them.

Resetting Synchronisation does not work.

Has anyone else come across this? Is there a way to force the Inbox or a
subfolder to be re-synchronised?

David

We're not having that problem, but I can confirm that what we have found is
that ANY message, even though it is from another Exchange Account, will not
be delivered to Entourage 2004, if it has a symbol in the title other than
@. This also occurs with emails from domains that are designated as safe in
the Junk Mail Filter, and people who are in Contacts. Surely they are
safe!!!

I've faxed Microsoft Support here in Australia (I refuse to give someone a
credit card to report a bug), and hope they pass it on to the Mac BU.

I've also logged it at the feedback page on the web site. If there are any
Mac BU lurkers, perhaps you can pick this up and run with it?

Thanks.

Hi Eric - Does OWA work against this internal server with the same proxy
settings that fail in Entourage?

If you're interested, you might take a look at TCPFLOW and see if it reveals
anything.

http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/tcpflow.html

Thanks,
Richard

I'm having a similar problem. Entourage 2004 works fine when I don't go=20
through a proxy server. But when I do, it syncs for a while, but then =
stops=20
over time and maybe syncs every hour and a half or so. The e-mail is=20
showing up in the web version fine. I have tried to enter our Exchange =
server=20
in the "bypass proxy setttings" in the network prefs, but it still =
doesn't work.=20
One user will occasionally even get her account dropped altogether and =
only=20
show a junk mail folder. I have to go in and reset her server in account =

settings to make it re-sync. Are there setting/ports that Entourage =
needs =20
to get through proxies? Does anybody know of any problems with Cisco=20
equipment?

Thanks for your help.

Bill.
