    - Entourage calendar thinks daylight savings time is over For this week (and this week only), all the times on my calendar are off by an hour because it thinks that daylight savings time is over. I looked in Preferences for a solution and it lets me change my time zone for new entries, but this does not help me with all of my existing entries. I could manually go in and make them all earlier by one hour, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a genuine fix for this and not a workaround. Thanks for your help and input.     - Entourage Database I run Entourage 2004 on MAC OS 10.4.10. My hard drive crashed. I used Data Rescue II to retrieve data from the hard drive. I was able to locate my Office 2004 main identity with over 500 MB of data. I was able to rebuild this data on my new hard drive with Data Rescue II. Then, with Office 2004 and its on-line updates installed, I tried to access the data by moving the data file into and replacing the data file in the main identity folder. The program asked me to rebuild the data using the Entourage disk utility. Unfortunately, this move seemed to replace the data file with a blank file of 18 MB and no data. I know....first of all I should have backed up the data. I didn't. Is there a way to import this data, rebuild it, something??? It seems the data is there because it shows up as over 500 MB of information. I need help to get it to come up under the Entourage program. Thank you in advance for your help.     - Synching problems I use a Mac at home but a PC at work. We are on an Exchange server at work and use Outlook for mail. In order to synch my iPod addresses & contacts I synch my Outlook to my Entourage, Entourage to my icontacts and icalendar and then to my iPod (iTouch). When I bring the Mac to work and use an ethernet connection I can synch easily. If at work I use the wireless connection I have to log in to the VPN with my Mac in order to synch. However at home I get no connection to the Exchange server in Entourage whether I'm hard wired via a cable modem or on my wireless network, even if I log in to the VPN.     - Calendar Missing We are running Entourage, ver. 11.3.6 on Mac OS/X, ver. 10.4.10 under Exchange 2000. We have a calendar that we all share. Several users have an Author permission. Only one person has the Owner permission. For some reasons, all the appointments on the calendar disappear. The users do not synch the calendar to the Palm.     - Entourage 2004 re-downloads dot-mac email (again) Hello All, I poked around the web site and didn't see an answer for this issue, but I feel like someone must have encountered/solved it before. For the third time this month (and probably the 10th time in the last couple years) Entourage 2004 (11.3.6) is re-downloading my dot-mac account mail (pop). I've rebuilt the database, started from scratch, and just manually deleted them and still the problem persists. By comparison, Eudora and Mail.app never have this problem (for me).     - Entourage not downloading new messages on one account I have Entourage v.X 10.1.4 and as of two days ago it stopped downloading new messages from my main account with sbcglobal.net. Here's the error message: The POP server returned an unexpected reply to a command that Entourage issued. This problem does not occur on my sub-accounts, just my main one. I created a new account in Entourage with the same settings and that brought in all my old messages that were still on the sbcglobal server, BUT, it would not download anything from the last 2 days. As far as I know I didn't do anything two days ago that might have triggered this. AT&T/Yahoo (the new sbcglobal) say their servers are just running fine, it's on my end.     - Can't see IMAP folders offline Hi, I'm new. I searched already. Please be gentle. I use Entourage with IMAP folders (hosted at Dreamhost, Linux not MS Exchange-based) and I need to be able to view all the folders under the root (INBOX) when I am offline. I am using a 2 GHz Duo MacBook with Tiger 10.4.10, Entourage version 11.3.6 Online everything works fine - no issues. To go offline I tried clicking 'Work Offline' and the folders initially remain visible. However, after closing and then reopening, Entourage opens in 'Offline' mode, but I can only see the INBOX and its contents. The sub folders (i.e. With all my filed mail) are no longer visible. What am I doing wrong? Please help. This has to be simple. I really need to able to view the contents of these folders offline and I am sure this must be possible, even with IMAP folders.     - Entourage calendar entry blip after Leopard install Hi, I installed Leopard, not sure that was a good move just yet. When try and set a time for an appointment it does not allow times that start with 1 or 2 (eg 13:00 or 22:00) it sets the first digit to 0 every time UNLESS I am entering 11:00 in which case it copes.     - ENTOURAGE WILL NOTSEND OR RETRIEVE MAIL. In late August I Downloaded OfficeX-1029UpdateEN.dmg and at the same time, but unbeknown to me my ISP, Xtra.co.nz, switched over to Yahoo Mail as the new ISP which created total confusion throughout NZ and resulted in all sorts of problems. Xtra issued instructions to Entourage users who wished to retain their old Email address, in my case <wdcotaki@xtra.co.nz>, which allowed the automatic transfer of mail from Yahoo back to Xtra. I have tried to reconnect to Xtra but always end up with two Dropdown windows, one telling me "Message in Outbox could not be sent. The account which created the message could not be found, Error Type (-17199)" and the other "Could not retrieve mail from Xtra. Security failure. Personal Certificate required, Error Type (2995)".     - GMail IMAP - Use with caution Hi, Just wanted to share my experience, which initially is dissappointing, What I did was create a new IMAP account for my GMail and kept my existing account for POP access to GMail. I ended up deleting the IMAP account because Entourage upon receiving the messages in the IMAP folders (inbox and any labels you might have) moved them to my local inbox. I was fortunate that I only accessed my inbox and one of my labels because upon accessing them through the IMAP via Entourage, the messages in the Inbox that were already in my local inbox were duplicated in my local inbox and the labels removed on the GMail server. The good news is that the messages on the GMail server were not lost but the labels for the inbox and the other label I accessed were removed. I was fortunate I only had a few messages affected. If you have a lot of messages, I advise caution until someone can explain why the labels were removed. At this point I am not sure which side to blame. The removal of labels could be caused by GMail or by Entourage or maybe the interaction of the two. If anyone can explain this behavior, I would love to hear it. Please note I did check for rules and mailing list manager to see if something was created to cause this behavior and I still have no rules in any of the tabs and only one mailing list manager rule.     - Multiple Users I have two different users set up on my OSX due to different system preferences. Both accounts are running Entourage for mail / contacts / etc. I have moved the Microsoft User Data file on the main user over to the Shared folder and then created symlink to the Documents folder on the primary user account. Everything works in Entourage like it should. When I try to do the same thing for the secondary user, I get a message when I launch Entourage that the database is corrupted and I can't go any further. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?     - Netbarrier anti-spywear and Entourage (Office 2004) Hi: A rather technical questions about my anti-spy wear software and its behavior when checking my email. I use Netbarrier X4 and have it set to deny any internet connections I have not authorized. I use Entourage from Office 2004 for my email. When I go to get or send email, I get a warning that "LaunchCFMApp" is trying to make an internet connection. However, a search does not find an application called LaunchCFMApp, and so I can't add it to the trusted list. From a LaunchCFMApp crash log, I see that LaunchCFMApp is a command issued by Parent: WindowServer [70]. And, of course, I see no application with that name either. The obvious, adding Entourage itself to the list of applications permitted to connect does not help. How do I get Netbarrier to learn this is an authorized connection?     - Problems across multiple programs... This is complicated, so please bear with me... I have a program called Digital Photo Professional, distributed through Canon. When I take a raw photo file and convert it to either .tiff or ,jpeg, I get an error message window, from within Stuffit Expander, which has mysteriously opened, saying the following: "The file GNZ07D70A1A0A2107.vbf does not appear to be compressed or encoded.It is advisable that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of this file." A search of my hard drive reveals no such file. A web search reveals the .vbf extension to be a 'Microsoft Outlook Free/Busy File'. I do not have Outlook installed on this machine. Entourage has been crashing lately when trying to open an .html formatted email from a trusted sender after sending the message before it to the trash, usually on the order of 2 to 3 times a day. What the heck is going on with Microsoft on my machine...? I went to the support portion of the Mactopia site to find that I am 2 updates behind, so I will take care of that when I finish this.     - how to add 'missing' public imap folder Hi, My main email acct., which I access using Entourage, is an IMAP acct. on my University's Cyrus email system. I have permissions to see a NUMBER of public folders and, for the most part, I see them. There are a couple of folders which, for unclear reasons, are basically invisible to me even though I have the same perms on them as I have on the others... These 'invisible' folders are at the same hierarchical level as the 4 other folders I can see... yet, I can't see them. Any thoughts on how to 'force' them to appear?     - Attachment Not Received OS 10.4.10 Ibook G4 1.5 GB Ram Entourage 11.3.2 Hi, I've been sending .jpeg attachments of iPhoto photographs that I have re-worked using Adobe PhotoDeluxe, an older, out of market, wonderful little program, to a recipient who can't open them. My attachments have almost always been received by the people I send them to. When I save the Adobe files (and any file I'm working with) I do so in a .jpeg format because that extension seems so universal. These files always upload to ebay and craigslist. In Adobe PhotoDeluxe there are other choices of extension when saving the Adobed file. They are: PhotoDeluxe 2.0 & 1.0 Photoshop 2.0 3.0 & 4.0 Adobe Acrobat BMP EPS FlashPix JPEG PCX PICT File Pict Resource PNG Targa TIFF At the bottom of an Entourage window are my choices on sending, which I don't know much about. "1.5 GB Ram Encode for any computer (AppleDouble) no compression, Windows file name extensions" I hope one of you experts knows about the window that drops down when the above is clicked. I don't know yet if the recipient uses Mac or PC. I practiced once with a photo file of only 500 kb. Any ideas why he isn¹t getting the attachments?     - Shared Mailbox / Group Mailbox and Entourage Hello: I hope that I can explain this properly. I support a number of Macs running Office 2004 / Entourage 11.3.6-8 connecting to exchange server 2003. In this organization they have set up Group mail Boxes i.e GMB- adservices@XYZ.com, the Macs have no problems connecting to these mailboxes. This time the user set up a "Shared" mailbox and granted access to various users. On the PCs the users were able to OPEN other users inbox and get the Shared mailbox with access to inbox - sent items etc. When I go on the Mac and say open other users mailbox and the GAL finds the correct mailbox it just gives me a icon of the networked mailbox but no inbox drafts etc no spill-down. Is there a difference between Shared and Group mailboxes? Why does it work on the PC and not on the Mac? Silly question I know but can this be done or does the user have to go back to the server folks and request a "Group" mailbox.     - Help Restarting Entourage Sounds In anticipation of the arrival of OSX 10.5 this weekend I did some housekeeping by trashing old user preference files. After restarting my Entourage 2004 v11.3.6 is muted. I went to the Ent General Preferences/Notifications and everything looks okay but NOTHING happens when I click on the speaker icons next to the Microsoft Sound Set Can someone tell what preference file I may have trashed by mistake and I may be able to find it on my backup drive.     - =?Utf-8?Q?calender:_default_doesn=C2=B4t_synchr?= I have the strangest problem with my calendar-appointments and our exchange server. I work both at home and at the office. Appointments added at home didnÂ´t show up at work, but all appointments added at the office showed up fine. (Contacts worked both ways.) My solution was to add a new calendar to Entourage. It has the same path on (to?) our Exchange server but - magic! - all appointments I add no matter where get synchronized. So now my problem is that I would like to get rid of the default calender and set my new calender as default. (And I would love to know why the heck this is happening ...)     - How change default size of windows of previously created Tasks? With Entourage 11.3.6 and OS 10.4.10, after enlarging the Mac display size temporarily, and then changing it back, all my previously created Task windows ran over the dock.     - Color Code Calendar for Recurring Occasions and edit one Occasion I am trying to figure out how I can color code the background of my calendar. I am aware that as I enter occasions those ocassions can be color coded and grouped but that isn't what I am talking about. Is there away that I can change the background color even when no occasions are booked. For example, when I looked at a blank calendar 8am - 10 am background color would be purple 10am - 12 noon background color would be red. Is that possible? The reason I am asking this is the following. I am trying to color coordinate my calendar with work I am doing. What I have been doing is putting in recurring occasions. For example 8am - 10am is purple and that is for phone calls and every day 8am - 10am is color coded purple because I put it as a reoccuring occasion. The only problem with this is when I go to edit one occassion during that time it doesn't allow me to edit the name or title so I can't specify what phone calls I need to make that day. is there a way around that? I sync Entourage with iCal so I can then sync iPhone and have my
contacts and calendars updated. I upgraded to Leopard Saturday and
Entourage no longer talks to iCal. Has anyone had this problem? Many

I have half of this problem: Entourage gets the information from iCal,
but not the other way! I use iCal so I can sync with my iPhone.

Yes I noticed this problem and also have the 1/2 that syncs Entourage
with iCal through iSync Services - I cleared iCal (cause it was
getting unwieldily) then asked iSync to do it's stuff. IT JUST
OVERWROTE ENTOURAGE Even though I asked it to use Entourage to
overwrite iSync Services, Thank goodness I had done the sensible thing
ad backed up Entourage.

Not nice

Not sure I understand how you are syncing your iPhone now, through
your mac account?
