 - Sent Emails Not In Sent Folder OS 10.4.10 Ibook G4 1.5 GB Ram Entourage 11.3.2 Hi, I just sent three emails to a UK email address. They sent out of the outbox and made the sent chimes. However, I can't find them in the in the "Sent" folder. Each email had two attachments, from 150 kb to 500 kb. Where did they go? They're important business emails.  - Entourage 2003 crash My wife has a G5 with OS 10.4 (about to update). Microsoft Office 2003 programs (WOrd, Excel, mainly) run fine EXCEPT for Entourage, which opens but cannot access the Internet most of the time. None of the mail settings have changed. Sometimes a restart allows upload/ download, and other Inet applications run. I tried reinstalling Office, which seemed to work for a while. Any ideas? Tag: Inbox View Tag: 83381

 - Global Address List I've (sadly) figured out that I cannot access the GAL from Exchange in Entourage unless I'm connected to the network. Unlike Outlook connected via RPC over HTTP, Entourage seems not to be able to see the GAL. Does anyone know if this feature is fixed in Entourage 2008?  - Deleting messages that have already been deleted My problem is this: I have downloaded all my mail to Entourage. All of my older messages were somehow downloaded twice. I deleted the ones that I didn't want (including both of some of the messages) but when I hooked up to the server, only one of the messages was deleted. Now my Deleted Items folder has several hundred messages in it that I do not want on my computer but I can't get rid of them. My automatic script to empty the folder works for all messages but these duplicates and I can't manually delete them.  - View BCC addresses for sent mail in Entourage When I go back and look at a sent message I cannot find who I blind copied. I have tried to hit "resend" to see if the BCC address pop up again but they don't. I have also turned off the internet header but still can't find who I BCC.  - Weird word wrapping Hi all, I'm new to this group and I have a problem. On some emails when I reply and I get to the end of a line it doesn't automatically wrap around but instead the first line gets chopped up so that each letter of the first line is on the second line, then the third, etc. Like this: First sentence is this Then when I get to the end of the line it turns into: F i r s t etc. Has anyone ever had this problem?  - Setting default view in Entourage 2004 Hello, Is there any way to set a default view for all folders or windows in Entourage 2004? For example, if I create a new folder, it defaults to show items in groups, and the columns include Projects, Categories, Conversations, etc. For every folder, I have to remove the ones I don't want. And if I have to clear the cache in Exchange or rebuild my database, I have to redo this with every folder again. Very annoying. I've looked everywhere I can think of to see if you can set a default, but I can't find anything. Am I missing something, or is this setting a default view not available in Entourage 2004?  - separate address book I would like to create a separate address book in Entourage. I pass along the jokes I like to a circle of friends and I would like to have a separate listing of those email addresses. A group doesn't work for two reasons: not everyone has the same sense of humor and I don't want to send a joke to the person who just sent it to me! What are my options? Thanks.  - Drag and drop local folders? Hey all. When I drag e-mail from my inbox (server based) to local folders the e-mail in the inbox remains on the server (copied). This causes me to manually delete the e-mail from the server.  - Multiple Copies of Outgoing Emails Hi. I am new to Mac and Entourage. I have been successful in figuring out how to create separate identities for my husband and myself. However, when I was testing it out, I found that when I send an email from my account to my husbands account, a copy of the email not only goes into my sent box but also a copy is placed in my inbox. How do I stop receiving a copy in my inbox? Can someone please help. FYI--I have my husbands email address set up as the default and I do not have this issue on his account.  - Error 17099 Cant send any mail anymore, help! Wow, this is the doozies of all doozies since I've owned e mail All of the sudden I cannot reply to or send any new e mails out. Every singly e mail I sent says, "could not rely message, error 17099, mail could not be sent. These are little tiny email with no attachment, it's not a space issue. The internet & modem are working fine. And receiving mail is no problem. I have 10 different e mail account spread across several websites and it happens with all of them including the four accounts I have with ISP Time Warner. So this cannot be isolated to some setting in some accounts, it's across the board. Just spoke with Time Warner. The morons they are, they blame it on software. Are they right? What should I do?  - Cannot sync with iCal I just purchased a Motorola RAZR phone and I would like to sync both my contacts and my Calendar items. I am able to get the contacts to sync with Address book and then with the phone (although to get it started is like starting an old English sports car, you have try try multiple times until it runs smooth and then there are no problems). But no matter what I do I cannot get iCal to sync. Entourage creates the Entourage calendar in iCal but no information shows up in iCal (Version 2.0.5). I have tried the instructions on the MS website and deleted the contents of the SyncServices folder and the renabled syncing but still no luck. I am running 10.4.11 and Entourage 11.3.6.  - Inserting Signature as Default I just began using Entourage and can't figure out how to set my signature so it appears on all e-mails automatically. I found the location to build the signature but can't find location to set the default.  - 24 hour time problem Hi, I have a user that is having problems entering times after 11:00 for calendar entries. He recently installed Leopard. His system is set to use 24 hour time. When he creates a new calendar entry the time is shown as 9':'00, with the apostrophes. If he attempts to enter in say 13:00 for a 1:00 pm meeting, it ignores the first digit and only accepts the 3.  - Two Junk Folders for Entourage Exchange Account; How Can I Delete Two junk folders appear under my Exchange folder in Entourage. I would like to delete one, but am unable to do so. When I highlight the Exchange folder to see all folders in the right- hand panel, then highlight either one of the junk folders, the delete trash can is not active.  - 24 hour delay to receive Yahoo forwarded mail w/Entourage; I have found two instances where email messages appear immediately in OWA, but take 24 hours to appear in Entourage. The same delay is experienced when a remote SMTP server sends an error message back to my Exchange account. I am using Exchange Server 2007 and Entourage 2004. How can I eliminate this delay in receiving the messages with Entourage? In searching the web, I have found that others also experience the delay, but I have not seen any solutions.  - Entourage message delete feature OK, i am having a problem that probably has a very simple answer, but I can not find it! I am trying to stop Entourage from automatically deleting messages from my folders after they are 30 days old.  - How to sync MUD folders between multiple users on same computer? Is there a way to SYNC the two different MUD folders of multiple users on the SAME computer? I'm both the Admin and Standard user (two users for security reasons) on my one 2.2 MBP. I'd like to have the MUD folder (and therefore the Entourage info) synced between these two users. What the easiest and best way to accomplish this? Would the following work? iSync and Sync Services?? Mark Space's Missing Sync?? Oh, I do NOT want to use .mac.  - Any Sympatico.ca Users Have email advice? I have been a sympatico user for years. One of my many frustrations with my move to Mac is sympatico's refusal to support Entourage. Today my email stopped sending -- I receive and yes I'm connected to the internet. My mail settings are POP6 (incoming) and SMTP1 (outgoing) servers. When I send the error I get is 3253 "Connection to server filed or was dropped" When I call sympatico they say I should change to POPHM and SMTPHM -- on those settings I can't receive anything "an operation on the server timed out" 3259 or send "5.7.0 Must Issue a STARTTLS command first" 17099. When I use the above new server settings in Mac Mail the thing seems to work. Anyone else have problems like these?  - Entourage and Address Book [On My Computer]. How to move groups. Hi, I have a OSX (Tiger) user that need to transfer her Entourage email group to a pc user. We are using Exchange 2003. The contact list resides on her local mac, and from what I understand, you are unable to move an Entourage Address Book group to the Exchange account. Is there a quick and "dirtyless" way to transfer this data over? As a bonus question, would there be a way to "share" this Entourage address book group/Distribution list as a public folder? And accessible from both, an Entourage user AND an Outlook user? Again, from what I gather, If I create a group or distribution list on Exchange for this account, it is not visible in Entourage. Here is what i get when i try to open an attachement in entourage: "Permission to access this file was Denied this could be caused by the file being open in another application" I have tried everything i could think of.  - sent email rule I would like to have a rule in Entourage that places sent files in a folder based on the addresses used; e.g. if sent to fred@fred.com, that email would be placed in the Fred folder.  - What's best Verizon device to get for syncing with Entourage 2004 I would like the opinion of experienced Mac users and Entourage sync- ers as to which new Verizon phone or PDA device (and which device OS) I should get to have the best syncing results using either MarkSpace MissingSync appl or iSync (and Sync Services). I have a large Entourage 2004 database with 2-3000 contacts (but not all those contacts necessarially need to be downloaded to the phone device). I need to purchase a new Verizon phone or PDA shortly (like tomorrow), however I want it to sync well with Entourage 2004 (and eventually Ent 2008) on my 2.2 MBP running Mac OS 10.4.11 (and eventually Leopard). Should I get a Windows Mobile 6 device...or Palm OS device? (I notice that the MS Palm forum doesn't seem to talk about syncing to MS Office's Entourage, only about syncing to Apple's iCal/AB.) Or PocketPC device? Or BlackBerry device? Does MS sync better with Entourage via one of these OSes, than the others? If the new device can't hold all of my contacts, what is the best method in Entourage--and with using MS to sync--to setup a smaller sub- base of contacts to sync to the phone device? By making a "cell phone" category or project in Entourage and then selecting certain contacts to be synced over to the device? What is the best method of connecting the computer to the device to accomplish the syncing? Blue-tooth? USB? Any other methods? In connecting the device, do I have to be careful about the type of Blue-tooth format or USB format? Are there any surprises here?  - Entourage v 11.3.6 I am running Entourage, version 11.3.6 on an Imac OSX 10.4.11. A couple of weeks ago a number of my email messages started going directly into "Junk E-Mail" under "Folders on my Computer" rather than directly into my"Inbox" on the server. I do not have any rules set up and I have not changed any settings as far as I am aware. Does anybody have any knowledge how to remedy this problem as it is very frustrating.  - Reposting Need help with Entrourage problems I posted this during the holidays and didn't get an answer, so am reposting just in case no one saw it. My Mac user group has not been able to help, so I'm hoping someone here has some clues for me. Thanks have Entourage 11.3.6 running on an intell Mac with 10.4.11. I have POP. The problem I'm going to describe has increased over the last month to 6 weeks. For over a year I have had no problem with Entourage. Beginning approximately 6 weeks ago (give or take) I began having the following issues: l) When trying to send an email - usually either to a group or by hitting "reply" I would get a message saying "unable to connect to server account ...." I would then rebuild the data base, hit send and receive and the email will go with no further difficulties. Initially this was once a week or so then every few days - now it is happening daily. As soon as I rebuild the data base, the email goes and I don't get a message. Obviously this is progressive and I need to find a way to fix it permanently, or I'll be rebuilding the data base several times a day. 2) stored email messages are migrating between folders. This is very odd. For example, I store emails for Mac information in one file - book orders (with Amazon, for example) in another. Some days I'll find book orders in the Mac info file - and I haven't put them there. Another file might find a current email located amongst emails dating from 2005. This appears to be completely random and with no predictability. What can I do to correct these problems - which are becoming more pressing as time passes?  - Office Notifications & Mouse Has anybody ever noticed the behavior where the Office Notifications windows stops responding to the mouse after a while? I can navigate through the various reminders via the keyboard but anything mouse-related such as moving the window, dismissing a reminder, highlighting a reminder, etc. doesn't work.  - Entourage can't download messages I am running Entourage on 2 machines: a MacBook Pro (running 10.4.8) and a MacPro (10.4.11). New problem as of this morning on both machines: when Entourage tries to access my Comcast account, it gets stuck...there is a "Getting list of messages" message but no progress is shown on the little bar next to the message and the beach ball just keeps spinning. I rebuilt the identity on the workstation machine, but it didn't help. So I copied the new identity to the laptop, and now have the same problem there. After quitting and restarting Entourage a number of times, sometimes a couple of messages will download but then it gets stuck again. I can see that I have messages in my Comcast account online. I did download an upgrade for Microsoft this morning on the desktop machine, but not the laptop. Any thoughts? Tag: Inbox View Tag: 83222

 - Syncing Entourage tasks with Palm Over the weekend I changed the Categories (and some tasks) in Entourage Tasks. My first sync with my Palm 755p (using the Entourage conduit) did nothing. I then configured the Entourage conduit in Hotsync manager so that the desktop overwrote the handheld on Tasks. I then got the new tasks added to the Palm, but none of the categories changed and some tasks associated with old categories remained. By way of background, I also sync with an Exchange server. So I have the Contacts and the Calendar in Entourage conduit set to do nothing. Tasks and Memos are set to sync. The Palm Desktop Tasks conduit is set to do nothing so as not to conflict with the Entourage conduit. Any help? Tag: Inbox View Tag: 83220

 - Entourage Crash Entourage crashes every time I try to view an email. This happens whether I view it in the preview pane or double click on it. This just started today. Everything else seems to work fine. My version of Entourage is up to date as well as my system software. My email is coming from an Exchange Server. I am running on a PowerBook G4 and running system 10.4.11 with 512 MB of RAM. What I have done to try and fix this: 1. Repair permissions 2. Removed fonts I installed last week 3. Created a new identity and checked my email with that identity 4. Rebuilt my database 5. Removed Office and Reinstalled it then updated the new software to the latest version. None of this worked.  - Suddenly can't send email As of about 2 days ago I can't send emails in Entourage from any of my accounts. I didn't change any settings, nothing weird happened, my ISP claims nothing changed at their end, etc. Another computer on our household network has no problems sending from their email accounts via Entourage. I have no problem sending if I go to the trouble of accessing my email via Safari instead of Entourage (from the same email accounts that are in my Entourage). When I try to send from Entourage I get error "-3253 Connection to the server failed or was dropped". There is nothing wrong with our internet access in general. And I have no problems receiving email to my same accounts in Entourage. Only the sending is a problem. My smtp settings are the way they should be -- I also tried other smtp settings that I know might be okay and they don't work either. Thanks everyone! Tag: Inbox View Tag: 83218

 - archiving old emails Is there a way to archive some, but not all, old emails? I'd like to be able to archive, say, anything older than 6 months. I have thousands in my Inbox, and I can't see how to select a whole load of emails without having to Select them one-by-one. And in future, can I give an instruction that all emails older than a certain age should automatically be moved to a different folder? Tag: Inbox View Tag: 83212

This is an elementary issue, but I can't figure out how to get my
messages to indicate whether I've replied to them in the regular inbox
view. When I log into exchange on a browser, whether I've replied is
indicated by a little symbol, but I can't get it to appear in the
entourage inbox view.
