 - Minimum true type fonts to keep for Entourage / Office on OS X Hello, I would like to delete most of the True Type fonts that have been installed on my system, but I know that certain of these are absolutely required by Entourage and Office. The font used in the floating email notifications palette is one that comes to mind (but I don't know what it's called). Can anyone give me a list of the fonts I should NOT delete?  - How To Restore a Single Folder In Entourage Hello! Thank you to anyone who can help me! Somehow this morning I deleted a folder from within my many, many nested folders in Entourage. I need to either find it (have tried with Spotlight, but can not find it), or restore it from an export I did three days ago of all the data in Entourage. I can see the Entourage exported backup file on my desktop, but I do not know how to go into it to pull out and restore just one folder full of e-mails. I'm afraid if I click on it and open it that it'll overwrite all my other folders and information in Entourage. So how do I grab just one Entourage e-mail folder from within the backup?  - Error -50 could not synchronize record to exchange server Hello I get the error in when the Entourage X calendar tries to Sync with our exchange 2003 server.  - HELP! I've lost my inbox!!!!! My inbox has emptied (well, it has faint grey lines in it) and I can't seem to get anything back.  - Entourage freezes reproducable Morning. I thought it would be an unique behaviour but it occures regularly: Entourage 11.2.4 freezes reproducable if I want to collapse in the preview window the sent emails. After immediate quit and restart of Entourage I can collapse the sent emails for a while but some hours later the same wrong behaviour occures again and I have to quit Entourage immediatly.  - Can An Entourage Calendar Event/Alarm Open An Application Like iCal Can? Hello! Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply to this post! I backup my MacBook using SyncupX to a LaCie external drive. SyncupX can be 'awakened' by a daily iCal alert to do the backup. So I've done just this, I've programmed a daily alert in iCal that directly opens the SyncupX software, which performs the backup (e.g. this is not a regular alert reminding me to do it, rather iCal 'talks' directly to SyncupX and affects the backup.) I am an Entourage user and would really rather use Entourage's calendar to 'talk' directly to SyncupX as iCal can. However, I can not figure out how to program a daily alert in Entourage to open an application this way. Again, I don't want a calendar alert to remind me to manually perform the backup sync, rather I want Entourage to talk directly to the SyncupX software and do the backup. Is this possible?  - sort sequence of emails Morning. Can I change the sort sequence of emails in the preview window in the status mode? Acutally the unread messages are diplayed above and the read and sent ones beneath. But the unread messages thereselfes are sorted the older ones above and the more actual one beneath. But I want it inversed: the most actual one above and the older ones beneath. How can I get this view? TIA and kind regards.  - Entourage Temp Folder Everyone, Just wondering about this folder. Some of my users have nothing inside this folder and some of my users have 1000's of items inside there. I am just wondering what are these items, (especially the files named Blck-and some numbers), how are they created, and why are they not deleted automatically, do they cause any problems with Entourage, and finally can I get rid of them all. Whenever I try to link a file using Tools > Link to Existing > File... the recipient does not receive the link, whetther they are on a Mac with Entourage or a PC with Outlook.  - deleting messages In my Entourage 2004 for Mac (11.2.3 (0602090) Mail I periodically receive email messages in my preview list that appear in gray and contain a symbol consisting of an outlined x over a downward pointing triangle. These seem to be permanent messages, as I cannot delete them in any of the ways I've seen in prior messages on this list for removing pesky messages.  - Palm syncing And the palm syncing issues continue with the 11.2.4 update... In fact, it doesn't sync at all now! Using tasks, I've done a "Handheld overwrites Entourage" and a regular sync and no information gets transferred. I'm using the Entourage conduit with Missing Sync 5.1 going to a Treo 650.  - Problems with forward - Entourage 11.2.1 Hi, I have problems since I updated Entourage when I forward e-mails with attachments. I have a message saying that the attachment is open (which is not) then when I persist, the e-mail is send but the receiver can open the attachment but it's blank or with signs on it...  - Account Ordering on Folders Window Hi All, Re: Entourage 2004 I am having trouble finding out how to change the order of my 6 email accounts (some IMAP, some POP and even Hotmail). I want to put them in a logical (for me) sequence and can't find out how to do it. I have tried renaming, with numbers and drag drop. None of this works and I am at a loss....  - Preferences -> Address Book -> they are saved but do not work Mysterious error which has not been fixed by re-install, updates etc. I set the preferences for the Address Book for display of telephone numbers and to link contacts with emails etc. The preferences are displayed as saved but they are not implemented in Entourage.  - Help Me Sync My New Treo 650 with Entourage 2004 *Please* Hi, I have tried reading countless advice posts here and on Treo sites but I have yet to find an answer to my problem. I went through tech support when I first got my palm zire 21 and tried syncing with entourage. I learned about the Entourage conduits and got it working. However I was disappointed to discover many bugs between Entourage and my Zire. Anyway, 2 years later I've upgraded to the 650 and once again reinstalled the Entourage conduit (about 10 times in the last 2 days!!) and it still won't show up in the Conduit/Hot Sync manager. What is going on here? I've partially synced up but unless I can get this working in the next few days I'm returning the 650 and may go back to PAPER!  - Sending email with attachments I have a MacBook (less than a month old), 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM. I am using Microsoft Entourage 11.2.4 I send an inter-office email with two photo attachments (photos are about 2.0-3.0 mb a piece) and it took about 15-20 minutes to send it. however, when the email is returned, from the other person's computer, it is sent quickly to me, but takes awhile to receive.  - Full Entourage X database I (with some help) stupidly let my Entourage X database fill to the 4 GB limit. Now, I can't open the program - it asks me to rebuild. When I do, I got the program to open, but all of my folders (which appear) don't contain any messages. There are messages in my inbox and in my sent folder, but not many as I tend to file them. When I tried to do an advanced rebuild, I got the message that there wasn't enough space on the disk, but I know I have more than 8 GB space on my hard drive.  - "Now Up-To-Date" file missing Hey guys, I'm trying to import calendar data from Now Up-To-Date into Entourage X. Don't ask me why, long story. Want to Export Now Up-To-Date into Entourage then export Entourage or iCal as vCal file to import into my Nokia N70 using an application I've downloaded. However Entourage won't import from NUD and gives me a "Now Up-To-Date file missing" error, anyone knows anything about this problem or what I'm trying to do?  - File Download Entourage vs. Outlook Express I'm trying to transition from my PC to a Mac mini (OS 10.4) and am having a lot of frustration with MS Office products. For example, I was recently sent an e-mail with a Word file attached. Outlook received (from my e-mail server at work) a 345k Word file that it had no trouble opening (should be the correct size for this document, looked fine). In Enrourage, downloading the same message, I got a 17k file with the same name and 'doc' extension and Word won't open it.  - Clicking on font color or background icons causes Entourage to quit unexpectedly When composing an e-mail, if I click on the selection arrow to the right of the font color or background icon, Entourage immediately quits. I had the same problem as mentioned in that post, which was that after updating to 11.2.3, and removing unwanted Entourage stuff, in the .Mac system preferences pane, sync tab, we got an item "com.microsoft.entourage.notes" that we couldn't get rid of. I have just got an alert saying my database on my home computer is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt.  - Syncing Entourage with Blackberry 8700c using PocketMac Hi - I have been trying to sync my blackberry 8700 with Entourage Contacts and Calendar using PocketMac for Blackberry. Pocketmac has tried to help me troubleshoot, but I think it's an Entourage problem. My computer recognizes the device, but when I click "synchronize" using the PocketMac software, two error messages pop up - "The application ERimCalendar quit unexpectedly" and "The application ERimContacts quit unexpectedly."  - Forms based authentication exchange 2003 breaks login? I am the only mac user at our company, the company uses excahnge 2003 with web access and all has been fine untill last weekend, when they switched on "Form based authentication" to outlook web access, since then entourage keeps giving login errors: "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"  - Copy saved mail from one Mac to another I have a folder containing copies of useful newsgroup postings, categorised by type (Excel, Access etc.) and have just got a new MacBook (And yes - they *are* as good as the reviews suggest), and am wanting to move/copy them across to my new machine.  - Help! messages moving from one mailbox to another without reason Hi, I'm running entourage 11.2.3 (060209) on Mac OS 10.4.6 (intel). Using an imap connection, entourage has just started moving messages from an imap inbox to the inbox in the 'folders on my computer'. When it does this, it moves the messages to the Deleted Messages folder in the imap account, then copies the AGAIN to the inbox in the 'folders on my computer' and then finally deletes the mail from my imap account.  - Entourage quitting Hi Entourage has been a bit slow and flaky on me for a while, quitting several times a week. Hotmail in particular has been problematic, causing Entourage to hang whenever I delete multiple messages at once. Today, however, in Hotmail view, the heading pane was blanked out where six or so headings should have been. (The messages before and after it were still there). Soon afterwards, Entourage quit on me and every time I reopen it quits immediately unless I can quickly switch out of Hotmail view. As soon as I return to Hotmail it quits again. I've tried deleting the most recent messages by visiting Hotmail on the web but Entourge still quits. I was running Entourage 10.1.4 but after this experience I tried updating to 10.1.6. NO change.  - Entourage 2004, Hosted Exchange, Reply From: Hi there -- I'm new to Entourage 2004. I have a hosted MSFT Exchange server with Mailstreet. I am set up with them and connecting fine via Entourage 2004, but they have no idea, and I have no idea how to enable the "Reply From" group set up in the Global Address List.  - Strange Error Message I am getting a weird error message every time Entourage checks mail, and it prevents my computer from going to sleep as per my energy saver preference. I wish I could attach it here. It says "Error: The mailing list rule 'ng-r-81-3417621-1115-1491-bf6e3a52@australia.care2.com' could not be successfully executed. Explanation: The message could onot be categorized because the category could not be found." Recently I tried, unsuccessfully, to set up some mail rules to avoid spam. Since this message mentions something about a rule, I deleted them. To my knowledge there are now no mail rules. I am at my wit's end with this. I called my ISP--absolutely no help.  - Entourage quits when you try to open preferences I have a user who was just switched to Entourage 2004. She has Office 11.2.0 (since 11.2.3 won't talk to the Exchange server at all). Everything is working okay except when she clicks on the preferences, the whole program quits! I have deleted all preference files, moved the 2004 identities out and let it recreate all files. Then going to preferences is fine. However, it wants to set up new account since I took out the whole DB identity folder. I put just the DB file back, and the program crashes. I ran the DB utility (on a copy) and while it said there was no problem with the DB I ran it anyway. Did not fix issue. Right now user has old DB file in place and as long as she does not go into preferences, Entourage is working fine. Any idea why this would happen and better yet, any fix?  - Entourage Syncronization ist slow Hi @ all, I`am a Newbie with Entourage on MAC. I have searched the Internet what i must do to use a Exchange Server 2003 with Macintosh. I have tested Entourage X that works with emails, calendar and so on. But the Public Folders, especially the Calendar in the Public folders dosen`t work. So i have tested Entourage 2004 with the newest Patches and everything works fine including the Public Folders and the Calendar. But he Problem is that the Syncronisation with the Exchange Server from the Public folders is very slow. At the first connect to the Public Calendar the syncronisation takes several hours. The next time the user uses this Public Calendar the syncronization takes again a very long time and the user doesn`t know if he had the actual Appointments or not.  - Entourage licensing problem? My wife and I have used Entourage simultaneously for years on our two MACs, while we were both on dial-up connections. We finally switched to Comcast cable, and suddenly, Microsoft won't let us both open Entourage at the same time. The 2nd person gets the message: "This installation of Microsoft Entourage X exceeds the number of installations permitted by the licensing agreement."  - download changed the look of MOVE folders in title bar I recently downloaded the latest and it changed the look of my folder names in the list that pops up in the Entourage title bar. for quick retrieval I appreviated all folders, ie. American Express, became AMEX, Bank of America became BA: AMEX BA My folder names stayed the same but now in the title bar when I wish to move a received email, I get this : AMEX(on my computer) BA(on my computer) When I look at my 30+ folders, it is dizzying.  - Delete duplicate untimed events Hi. Is it possible to build a list of duplicate events in the Entourage calendar and delete them en masse? Better yet, save one of each item? I'm not sure when it started, but "all-day" events in my Entourage calendar are being duplicated. If I enter an event as an all-day event, after a couple days I'll have dozens of entries for that item. I think the problem started when I turned on sync services in Entourage after loading the 11.2.3 update. I'm trying to keep the address book and calendar synchronized with my Palm TX, Entourage, DotMac and my mobile phone. I've tried deleting everything out of the Palm, phone, DotMac, Address Book and iCal and restoring a clean backup of my master Entourage and re-entering the new event data. After a couple days, the problem is back. Deleting the duplicates won't fix the underlying problem, but at least my calendar will be usable. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. As I am in a panic, I am asking you directly. My Entourage 'custom views' seems to be damaged. I use this feature all of the time to manage my large international address book and use it to divide my customers by country. I cannot open my custom views (i.e. I click on "Argentina" and get nothing) No amount of rebuilding seems to work. I get a message that my database is damaged with the following detailed report. years and I have made the leap but I was wondering is there anyway to import
a PST file into entourage or a simple way of importing message from outlook
2003.
