 - Entourage 2004 and 10.4.6 We upgraded the OS on a G5 from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6. After the upgrade Entourage no longer works. We get an error -3176 whenever we try and send or receive mail from our Exchange server. The message indicates that the server can't be found and that the DNS settings are incorrect. None of the settings have not changed. I can ping the Exchange server successfully from this computer. Any ideas? Thanks Tag: IMAP as default mailbox Tag: 66473

 - Deleted emails: NOT deleting. Hello... hope you can help or point to the possible causes. In this case were using Exchange 2003 SP1 and the clients are Entourage 2004 11.2.3... Recently, we've noticed that some Entourage clients who have breached their mailbox limits are now unable to delete mails. Or rather, Entourage shows that their mail has been deleted, but the actual deletion on the server either isn't happening or if it is, the space isn't being purged. This has led to some very angry users with "full" mailboxes, even though they insist that they've deleted tens of megabytes of emails/attachments.  - Turning Off Automatic Mail Checking in Exchange Account I want to be able to turn off automatic email checking in an Exchange account. On POP accounts, I can uncheck "Include this account in my 'Send & Receive All' schedule" in the Account Settings dialog. However, I can not figure out how to do this with an Exchange account.  - Global Address List Support--Entourage 2004 I'm an Exchange 2003 administrator in a Windows 2000 environment. We support Entourage 2004 clients on 10.3.9. I've installed Office 2004's Service Pack 2 along with the update 11.2.1 in hopes that my Mac users could use the Global Address List instead of using check names to check against the Active Directory via LDAP.  - Attach or embed PDF when merging to email? Using Office 2004 for Mac (11.2.3), we are trying to merge to email between Word and Entourage. The mail merge works fine using Query Options to a category in the Office Address Book. BUT, we are trying to embed or attach a PDF document to the Word document we are merging. If we drag-and-drop the PDF file into Word, it appears as an embedded picture, but only the first page of the PDF. It shows up as a too-small-to-read, out-of-focus image in the recipient's email. Is there a way to embed a PDF file in the Word mail merge doc so that all pages show up, and they are enlargeable? Or is there a way to ATTACH a PDF file to the Word document that becomes the main body of the outgoing email merge?  - Entourage adds .doc to my .rtf docs! Anyone else having this issue? I often send .rtf docs from Word through Entourage. When the document shows up in Entourage, it has added a .doc at the end.  - Problem viewing HTML in Entourage Since the latest round of MS patches (this week), some users have seen messages come in with blank bodies in Entourage. They can see the body of the message when reading it in OWA, or Outlook on a PC, etc. They can also see the contents of the body if they view the source in Entourage. After troubleshooting the issue for a little, I nailed the problem down to happening under the following circumstances: A rich client (IE on PC) user using OWA replies to, or forwards a message to a recipient using Entourage. Things work fine if the OWA user makes a New message, this only seems to be a problem when forwarding or replying. Looking at the differences between the source codes of the new message that is visible in Entourage and a reply that is not visible in Entourage shows some differences that would probably make more sense if I knew my way around code but here goes my attempt to describe it: In the messages that are visible in Entourage (New message from OWA) the source code starts out with <html> then <head> followed by a bunch of good stuff then a </head> to close that part out as would be expected, followed by the body. In the messages that don't display the body in Entourage, it starts with <HTML dri=ltr> then <HEAD> followed by some other good stuff, but where I'd expect to see the close head there's this instead <BASE href=HEAD>. There's no </head> in the code at all. It just goes to the body after that line. I might be missing something but this seems like a problem. Maybe most browsers and email clients make the assumption that if they see the body starting and don't see the head section closed, it's ok to move onto the body, I'm not sure. I'd be interested to see if anyone else out there can duplicate the problem. I have Exchange 2003 servers patched to the current levels (OS and Exchange). Ever since the switch to daylight savings time, when I add a new calendar event I get the warning "Event and computer time zones do not match. In Calendar views, the even time is adjusted to display correctly". What's going on? The computer time zone is correct, and in Entourage preferences the default time zone is also set correctly. I know there is an Exchange App called "Auto Accept Agent" this tool may be great for a conference room where you do not want a conflict or a double booking.  - Shared Project (1000+ Contacts) Crashing Database Daemon / 16008 Error I have many networked users with networked homes served on an Xserve. All run Office 11.2.3 locally. A shared project is set up on one for the sole purpose of sharing contacts with the others (which I think is the only way to share contacts over a LAN). The project folder is in the group's networked folder. I know my old Exchange server side rules won't migrate, but I have most of those duplicated in Entourage, so I'm not too concerned about that.  - ENTER button on the 10 key side I suppose we all want perfection, deep down inside. And I'm no different, especially when something really SHOULD work as designed. I have a brand new I-MAC 17" with the Intel processor, Mac white keyboard, Mighty Mouse-my first MAC product and I love it. I upgraded the memory to two - 1gb chips, 2gb total purchased from OWC. That, and Microsoft Office 2004 for MAC, are the only modifications made to the machine. My issue is a seemingly petty one but I can't stand it anymore. The ENTER button on the 10-key pad is non-functional in Entourage-and ONLY Entourage. All the other keys work fine, the enter button works in all other apps and this is the only real issue I have with the new machine. I have scrolled through the Apple chat threads and cannot find anything relating to this specific issue, although there are many new owners having other issues with their new keyboards. All of my users have an Exchange Mailbox installed as well as an IMAP
mailbox configured. I have set the IMAP to be default, yet when users go to
compose a new message it defaults to the Exchange Server. The IMAP is
default only when you have one of its folders selected in the Folder list.
