Help with Entourage X - IMAP calendar

I've set up an IMAP account in my Entourage X so that I can manage my
boss' emails and calendar. The email works fine, but when I subscribe
to Calendar, all I get is a list view of existing calendar events, as
if they were emails, rather than a calendar. This is impossible to
manage as the dates and times of the events are not visible in this
view.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and Microsoft here aren't able to give me
a release date for Office 2004 (assuming this issue is fixed in that
release). I've also scoured the Microsoft website, and come up with
nothing.

Can anyone help? If not, any suggestions for Calendar/Diary software
that can be shared across a network?
