HELP NEEDED: Entourage can't connect to server

I am a newbie Entourage 2004 user, recently converted from Palm Desktop
and Apple Mail. I was using a wireless network with no problems, but had
a cable modem installed today. Now Entourage says it can't connect to
the server (presumably for incoming mail).

This may be a temporary problem (maybe the gmail server is down?), but
if not, does anyone out there recognize this problem or have an idea for
how I might address it?

Usually, these rules apply:

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.

You don't mention if this is a POP or IMAP account. When you set you the
account did you try the "test" to see if it worked?
