I am the only mac user at our company, the company uses excahnge 2003
with web access and all has been fine untill last weekend, when they
switched on "Form based authentication" to outlook web access, since
then entourage keeps giving login errors:

"Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Your
username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like
to try re-entering your password?"

I have come acrross the following knowlegebase article that seems to
describe my issue: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;909268

Being the only Mac user, our IT department is relunctant to make any
changes to server setup when all seems to be ok for windows users!

Is the above knowlegebase article related to my issue? Is there
anything I can do in my setup to get the entourage working?

Accessing owa from Safari/Firfox works, so I know the URL is correct,

I am 10.4.6 and Entourage 11.2.3

Best Regards

It all depends on if your organization is also running ISA. If they are,
then this article applies. It's not a URL issue--basically there's an auth
service Exchange provides that IIS overrides. Entourage is directed to
always auth against the Exchange auth service, not ISAs.

The company is using ISA, and has reconfigured IIS authentication, they
view this as improved security so not willing to revert to the previous
setup (which worked for me!) - Will entourage be updated to work in
this senario?

I am experiencing the exact same issue but we are not utilizing ISA.
The problem I am seeing is that at times I can authenticate and get my
email but a lot of times I get the login failed error message. Get
this though, if I log in to my mail server via OWA and leave the
browser open and then try to authenticate in Entourage I am connected
and have no issues at all. Any idea why this would happen?
