All,

I'm seeing some strange behavior for all day events when viewing the same
calendar (hosted on an exchange server) from Outlook and from Entourage.

Case 1: Create all day event in Outlook - when viewed in Entourage it is
displayed 1 day early

Case 2; Create all day event in Entourage - when viewed in Outlook all is
good.

Case 3: Edit event created in case on in Entourage - put it in the day you
want it to show up (move forward by one day). When viewing event in
Outlook - it is now a 2 day event starting on the day you want it to be on -
but ending on the next day. (the all day event check mark is now unchecked -
in outlook)

Case 4: Fix it on Outlook (make it an all day event for the day you want it
to be) and woops - it's back to one day early in Entourage...

Work around - all day events MUST be created and edited from Entourage...

Why?

Hi Mark!

I and a few others have seen this. Can you verify that your Exchange
server is in a different time zone than where you're using Outlook and
Entourage? And are you creating "All Day" events?

The two-day problem comes from some time zone problem where the event
gets misinterpreted as running say 11:00 p.m. to 10:59 p.m. the next day
rather than 12:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. the same day.

To troubleshoot, do the following:

1. First and foremost, make sure Entourage, Outlook and your Exchange
server have all the latest service packs and updates.

2. Verify that time zone settings for both Entourage and Outlook are set
correctly in each application. If the problem persists continue with...

3. Access the account through OWA (Outlook Web Access).
4. Select Options from the left menu.
5. Set your time zone to your current time zone. (It's probably set to
the time zone of the Exchange server.)
6. Verify through OWA whether or not your events display correctly. If
they do not then contact your Exchange administrator about this problem.
If the events appears correctly in OWA then return to Outlook and
Entourage and verify your event times there.

If Entourage still reports the incorrect time zone then use Entourage's
Help --> Send Feedback on Entourage menu item to submit a bug report.
For Outlook use the "Support and Feedback" link on the left of this page
on Microsoft's website
<http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/default.aspx>.

Hope this helps! bill

I am having the same sort of problem. All day events do not appear
correctly in Entourage. All the time zones are set correctly. But
all day events are off by one day (I think actually by one hour) when
I look in Entourage. Very frustrating!
