 - Entourage Crashes I am using Office and Entourage (with updates through 10.1.5 loaded) on a G4 running 10.2.2 with 768mb RAM. I am having a problem keeping Entourage running. I seem to be only able to use the Mail feature - going to Calendar and Address Book causes a application crash. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix out there?  - Entourage crashes I have a G4 with Office running on it. Have the update packs thru 10.1.5 installed, but everytime I try to use another feature besides Mail (Address Book, Calendar, etc.) the whole app crashes. Is this a common occurence?  - How to block spam from POP3 mail? I have been getting a large number of spam e-mails over the past month. They mostly advertise the same products and are sent from e-mail addresses that are not valid. I use Entourage and my e-mail server is a POP3. What is the best way of blocking these spams?  - Outlook to Entourage Headache.......... Hi I am going crazy. I switched from Microsoft to Mac but I could not transfer all the things I have in Outlook (mails, contacts etc..) to Entourage. I wanted to buy a program called Outlook2Entourage but PayPal does not recognize international credit cards issued in Nicaragua.  - Replies end up in Inbox I have a client whose using Entourage X. On occasion, when he replies to message, a small note appears at the top of the message indicating that the reply will be saved to the Inbox. Why is this happening?  - All data disappeared! What happened? Something really weird happened after I installed several new programs. When I opened Entourage all my data, folders, and settings were gone, empty, as if this were the first time I was using the program, as if I'd never configured it or downloaded any email. I nearly freaked out but remained certain that the data was there somewhere. Turns out it was. For some reason, a 2nd Microsoft User Data file got created in a different location, and that's what Entourage was showing. When I deleted this file and placed the original Microsoft User Data file in its place (I found it elsewhere on my HD), all my data reappeared, thank goodness. I'd like to understand what happened--how on earth this 2nd Microsoft User Data file got created-- to make sure it doesn't happen again. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!  - Importing files from X to X? I have moved to a new computer (Mac G4) and need to transfer all my data from Entourage X to Entourage X. The import function does not recognize E-X, only the 2001 version. How do I do this? I know there has to be a way to save ALL my email, rules, folders, etc. Has anyone run into this?  - Entourage 2001 (9.0.4) A friend sent me an email with a couple of pdf files attached. As well as a Microsoft Paint file. Every time I try to open this, my computer crashes. I've tried deleting also but that too will crash my computer. Very weird and have never had this happen before. I'm running OS 9.2.2. Is there a way to get rid of this email, somewhere in the System Folder perhaps? Any thoughts or ideas on how to rid Entourage of this email would be appreciated. Thank you.  - Script to change subject Hello, I am looking for an AppleScript that I can call up as part of a rule to automatically remove a specific phrase from the subject line of incoming mail. Basically, my employer recently began using Spam Assassin on the mail gateway to screen all incoming email. When Spam Assassin detects spam it adds the phrase "===SPAM===" to the beginning of the subject line. Spam Assassin manages to catch some spam, but it also marks a lot of legitimate mail as spam as well. Roughly half of the mail entering my inbox these days is incorrectly marked as spam. I currently use SpamSieve to manage my spam locally ? with great success. What I would like to do is find an AppleScript that I can call up as part of a Rule to remove the "===SPAM===" from the subject line of incoming mail. Then I will send the mail through SpamSieve for proper spam detection. I have been looking around on the net for a couple of weeks and all I have been able to find are scripts that allow you to change the subject of individual messages with a dialog box.  - MS Office File Name Length Limitation Does anyone have information on when MS will fix the file name length=20 limitation in MS Office X? The problem is most troublesome for me in=20 regard to sending and receiving attachments because Entourage=20 dutifully truncates the file names. Any recommendations for=20 workarounds ? Currently I use another mail client to send files with = long=20 names. But that is still a pain and does not take care of receiving = files=20 with long file names. I then tried to move selected items from the Trash to the INBOX but they keep popping back to the Trash. Next, I turned the junk mail filter OFF altogether. Surprise! the filter is like the Sorcerer's Apprentice. It continues to do nasty things to my mail even though I have killed it.  - Cannot send email I am having a problem with Mac Entourage X Service Release 1 version 10.1.4. I purchased Office X for my wife and I updated it to 10.1.5. She was sending and receiving with regularity. Now she has a problem sending and receiving her emails. I fiddled around with it and I think that I have it working because I can send email now. I just sent one and it disappeared from the out box, unlike the other email that I sent earlier that is sitting in the out box. The problem is I did not receive it. I sent the email from and to her email in Entourage. I clicked, grudgingly, the send and receive button and I got nothing. It finally said there was a network error. I think that this is the problem. My wife sent 6 emails and they stayed in the out box. I set up the username and the like and now she should be able to send and receive, I reset everything the same as I did in her Mail account on Mac OS 10.2.8. Mail in 10.2.8 can now send and receive email. It did not before. I got a message saying the password and username are not accepted. I think that I have to delete her email in her out box in order to get her Entourage to send and recieve. I wish that there is a receive button instead of the send/receive button. Do I have to do this or is their another way that I do not know about? By the way, is there a two button scrolling optical mouse that works well with Jaguar that I can plug into my keyboard?  - Messages with embedded files? When reading newsgroups with Entorage for OSX, there are some messages which are labeled as being a file (ie .mpg or .rm or .wmv), and they're big messages (ie 1Mb). But the files aren't attached (the way others are), they come up in the body of the message as all that gibberish. Is there any way to convert that back to a usable file? Can I save it somehow?  - disappearing messages move from deleted to inbox I'm using an IMAP account (via MS Exhange). I flagged about 40 emails for "follow-up" in my inbox. After this I accidentally deleted these emails. Then I went into my deleted folder, selected the emails in question and dragged them back to my inbox. However the email were now neither in my inbox or my deleted folder, I did a cmd-opt-L in both folders but no mail. I also logged into my owa browser client and looked in both folders but the mails weren't there? As all of the emails were received in December I did an advanced search on emails received in December - the emails weren't found. Am I screwed? Anyone have a clue?  - changing default reminders Is there a way to change the default reminder for setting a new event in the calendar? In general preferences, it has the option to set reminder to occur x minutes/days before, but that is the only option I see, and even that doesn't seem to work. When setting a new events, the default is an all day event, with reminder 1 day before. And if I un-click all-day event, it starts at 12:00 PM.  - Setting Up Entoutage on a Mac Server My company, Vintage Marketing has 9 employees and we use Entourage with a POP mail. I would like to set up a server in house so we can keep a backup copy of our emails. I would like to have the server keep a copy of the mail and then have the email routed from the server to the individual desktops and Powerbooks, that way, I have a copy on the server and a copy on the individual desktops. Do I set the server up as IMAP? How? Our dilema is that some of the employees here have email databases that are 1.2 GB in size and are too large to leave a copy on our ISP server. I hope I am explaining myself clearly: A. Mail comes in and sent from www.vintagemarketing.com (our hosting Co) Sometimes I switch my sending mail to our ISP SMTP if my hosting comapny is down (IPOWERWEB). B. I want the mail to come into my server (Still to be set up) C. I want the mail to be routed from the server to the individual desktops. Thus creating a duplicate backup of email databases and making the owner and partners happy assured that thir email is backed up if they ever loose their Powerbooks.  - Print emails in very small print I am running panther (10.3.1) and entourage X (10.1.4). The program was working fine. Now several people in my office including myself are experincing the same problem. When we print an email it appears as though the scale has been set on page set up to 25%. we have retyped 100 percent in the page setup scale box but still the output is very tiny. It also looks tiny in the preview pane and it prints tiny. The work around has been to bump up the scale to 300% which gets us by. Word, Excel, Quark, all print fine without any adjustment.  - manual receive works, scheduled doesn't Entourage 10.1.0- OS10.3.1 Multiple accounts - all worked well for a while. Needed to change the name/login on one account. Now that account (with the new name) can't connect to server when accessing with the rest of the accounts in the same schedule and at the same server. When the account is launched to check mail manually, it works perfectly. Only when prompted by the schedule does it fail. I even tried removing the keychain (I think) and resetting it. I'm relativly new to Mac so I'm not too sure of all that can/should be done. And I'm certainly not making any new headway with this particular problem.  - Saved attachments on desktop All my received attachments are being displayed on my desktop which is getting crowded. How can I set a location on my HD for all email attachments. These attached files are not ones that I've saved, all attachments sent to me are displayed on the desktop.  - More error -192 Well once again the "phantom" of the -192 error message has reappeared- I have the latest Panther upgrade 10.3.2 (on my 17" iMac) and the latest Entourage version 10.1.4 This latest occurrence had no other prior warnings- the only open application was Safari - after downloading my mail I suddenly received the error message - the icons on the left side would grey out as my mouse moved over them (except the mail icon). I wish I could provide some other clues. Since the 10.1.2 upgrade Entourage has been a bit temperamental. With the multiple messages regarding this error any other thoughts (I am not using Fast user switcher- only user is myself) - could this be a problem with the OS and Entourage?
