All of a sudden my Entourage gives me an error sound after being asleep. It logs an error that it could not retrieve e-mail. Since I keep my computer on 24/7, I cannot have it avoid spinning down the drives, so I have to have it have the ability to go to sleep.

Any suggestions?

Um, I do believe you *can* have it not spin down the drives, via the Energy
Saver prefs. If you're choosing not to, that's different. It's possible that
E'rage is trying to retrieve mail before the network connection is
restablished. If you wait a couple minutes and try again, does it work?
