Because the Exchange update doesn't support Exchange Server 5.5, you should
delete the Exchange account you've set up and instead set up separate IMAP
and LDAP accounts to your Exchange Server.
If you have an account on an early version of Exchange Server (like 5.5),
you can access the GAL with any version of Entourage. You must set up a
standard Directory Service (not Exchange) account to access the GAL. Keep
in mind LDAP must be enabled on the server.
The Global Address Book cannot be browsed in Entourage, but a user can
search it by going to Tools -> Directory Services.
As for calendar issues, I'm not so sure. Free/busy data can't be accessed
from and calendar data cannot be synchronized with Exchange Server 5.5, but
standard meeting invitations might or might not work depending on how
they've been sent.
