 - Applescript: Forward message to another ISP OK Paul, here's my problem. I'm receiving spam through one account and need to forward it through another account. I have a working script but it sends the spam to the same ISP it came from which then errors unless I change the account manually. I can say: set newMsg to make new outgoing message at out box folder with properties {account:theAccount} and the new message goes to the desired ISP, but this doesn't work for a forwarded message.  - Problem with one particular email message On my bosses mac, he's got an email message in his in box that he can't read. If he tries to open the message, his Entourage crashes - if he tries to delete it, he gets a message that he doesn't have enough memory. I've tried doing the simple and advanced rebuild, and both times the entire db gets hosed to the point that Entourage says the db can't get recovered - good thing I made a backup copy of all the db files first. He's running OSX 10.2 and Entourage for Office V.x. Personally, I don't like using Mac's because of file and memory management issues (even with the new Unix kernel), but I can't yet convice my boss to switch to Windows XP Professional, even though his productivity gain would be astronomical since he wouldn't have to keep trying to fix these Mickey Mouse problems with his Mac. If anyone has any suggestions to get this thing working - short of throwing it off the roof of our building, I would be grateful.  - Email link in Entourage opens Mac Mail? Does any one know why, (when I already have Entourage open), if I click on an email address link within an Entourage email -- it opens up the mail program that comes with Mac? And while I have you here... I'm trying to change the name of the header/folder that holds the inbox, outbox, sent items, etc...right now it reads "On My Computer".  - Default Address How do you change Entourage's setting for the default address in the address book. Right now the default address is set for "Word address." I'd like to change that to "Home." Any ideas. I've tried online help and a thorough looking through preferences. The only luck I've had is going through each contact I have and unchecking "default" in the work address pane and checking "default" in the home address pain. Any suggestions would be helpful.  - Insanely Slow Exchange Connectivity I am using Entourage X connected to an Exchange Server. I have a L O N G Lag when ever I select the various folders I have created on the server through Entourage X. Why the lag, when I was using Outlook it worked fine and was snappy and quick. Accessing the server via Entourage X is painfully slow and needs to be fixed. Is there anything I can do to "optimize" my connection?  - Entourage Login Screen Keeps Reappearing I recently upgraded my Entourage X to version 10.1.4, since we have an Exchange server environment here for mail, calendar, etc. Since the upgrade, my sign-on screen keeps popping up every five minutes or so, and I can do nothing else until I sign-on again. Obviously, I'd like to be able to log on once in the morning and not do so again until the end of the day. I keep checking the "Remember Password" box on the sign-on screen, and my password is included in Keychain. Before the upgrade, I was using Entourage X v. 10.1.2 as an IMAP client with the same Exchange server and never had this problem. Any help appreciated. I also can't get the Entourage calendar to access my calendar information on the Exchange server. I was really hoping that the new Entourage version would let me do so, but the calendar remains blank no matter what I try. Suggestions with this problem also appreciated. Thanks -- Jerome R.  - Importing folders from Internet Mail through IMAP to Exchange It isn't possible to import folders to exchange within Entourage, or Outlook Express 5.x. The only process that seems to work is manually creating each folder in the exchange inbox, then importing messages from each folder.  - Daymarker in calendar Hi, When viewing the calendar in entourage X (in workweek, or week view) the current day is marked in a different color to well ehh show which day is the current day. :) However when I check the calendar the next day this 'daymarker' is still on yesterday. When I click month view and then go back to week view the daymarker moved to today. My question: is this just on my powerbook or is this a general bug that this daymarker doesn't automagically moves with the current day ? It's annoying that the daymarker stays where it is untill I switch views from week to month and back. Hopefulle someone knows what this is about. Have a great day.  - print bcc I am running Entourage 10.0.0 on a B&W Mac G3 using OS X 10.2. When I send an email to myself, with a bcc list of, say, six other = people;=20 I want to be able to print a copy of the email (as I have done in other=20 email programs) which shows a complete list of all recipients. The copy=20 I receive in my Inbox, of course, only lists the primary recipient=20 (myself)... but I expect that. The copy that is in my Sent Items folder=20 displays the entire bcc list when I open it on the screen, but = eliminates=20 it from the copy I print.=20 The only way I can get what I want here is to take a screen shot, open = it=20 in Acrobat Reader, and print it from there.  - Entourage 2001 slowness I¹m using Entourage 2001 version 9.0.4 (4011) on OS Z1 9.2.2. Some weeks ago I applied the Office 2001 consolidated updater. Since then Entourage has got very sluggish after a few hours use, although quitting and reloading seems to restore performance for a short while. Also I suspect that since applying the consolidated updater I now have memory leakage from Entourage. Certainly loading and quitting the programme seems to progressively reduce available memory as reported by the ?About My Macintosh¹ window.  - Sending meetings invitations from Entourage to Outlook Hi all. Is there a way of sending meetings invitations from EntourageX to Outlook 2002 which actually places the meeting in peoples schedules automatically (like when you use OUtlook to Outlook)? Im sure this used to work before but now it just sends colleagues an email with the time of the meeting but does not put anything into their calendars. Any ideas? I only know of clicking on each message and selecting to remove it form the server on the next connection. Is there a way to do this to say 100 messages at a time. At least I assume they're phony. I keep reading the advice to change my email address to put, say, "invalid" or add "nospam" or something else to the address to thwart spammers. But how do I do that? As far as I can see, Entourage doesn't have any option to change my email address or account when posting to the news group. In a regular email message I can do that by creating a phony account.  - Space Bar According to the Help section on Keyboard Shortcuts, SPACEBAR Scroll down to the next screen of text or, if you are at the end of a message, display the next unread message. That's the way it worked in Outlook Express, also. In Entourage X 10.1.4, in my setup, this doesn't work. The space bar will cause the text to scroll down one screen only, then no more. This is true whether the preference for Use Microsoft Office Shortcuts is checked or not. Too bad, because the space bar is a great scrolling convenience for reading a large number of messages. It also doesn't require clicking on the message first for each message, as do the page up and page down commands. Is there some other preference I have missed? Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?  - Calendar has stopped working in Entourage After using Entourage for a year, the calendar has stopped working. When I click on the calendar button, it begins to load, but then i get the following error: "Could not open that feature. Mail Error" I've installed all the updates for Entourage and Office, but it hasn't helped. I'm also using Mac OSX 10.2.  - Junk filter options I'm using the Junk filter in Entourage and have it set to the highest level (most aggressive in identifying junk mail). If I want to tell Entourage that a certain message is not junk, I'm given the option of including the sender's address in my address book or of accepting all mail from the sender's domain. The first option works -- but I don't like littering my address book with addresses that I may never use.  - Can't Browse Global Address Book Our office had been using MS Outlook with Exchange server when we switched to Entourage for our Mac OS X clients. Most features work well, but one that we would very much like to have is the ability to browse the Global Address Book. It's obvious that Entourage sees the Global Address Book, because you can check names against it using the keyboard shortcut Command-Shift-C, but you can't bring up the list in any way that I know of.  - "Could not synchronize record," error -50 I'm using Entourage (Office 10.1.5) on OS X 10.2.8. Yesterday I sent an email that for some reason, even though it was sent OK, has continued to generate a "Could not synchronize record" error message (error -50)every 10 minutes for the last two days. I have been using Entourage with our Exchange server since Office 10.1.4 was released, and have never had a problem like this. I have no idea why this message is "special," but my question is, how do I turn off the error? I've deleted the message from my Sent items folder, but Entourage persists in wanting to synchronize. I've turned off the bouncing Entourage icon (that was driving me mad) but I'd like to do away with the error altogether. How do I do this? Must something be done at the Exchange server level?  - Mac Outlook client 2001 problem We are running Exchange 5.5 with Outlook clients. Some of them are MAC running OS 9.x and Outlook client 2001. On occasion, when the user receives an email formatted as html, the html does not show completely and the parts the shows is not clickable. When he/she forwardes it to a pc, the email looks fine as it should.
