I just discovered that contacts are slowly vanishing from my Entourage 2008 address list. These seem to be the contacts I use the most. I?ve already rebuilt the database and when that didn?t work, overrode the database with an older, backed-up version. Unfortunately, that version was only backed up two days ago, so it has nearly as many contacts missing.

Now I want to simply import my contacts from Apple?s Address Book, which I?ve always kept synchronized with Entourage through e2Sync. How do I go about this? Delete all my Entourage contacts and drag in the contacts from Address Book? I see lots of references to importing Mail, but nothing specific about importing contacts into Entourage from Apple?s Address Book.

I never had this problem under Entourage 2004. Can anyone advise how best to resolve this?

ENable SyncServices in the Preferences and allow the Address book to
overwrite the Entourage data. Once done, I woudl strongly suggest that
you turn this off though since there are nasty bugs with this feature
and contacts tend to self-duplicate at a drastic rate over time.

Thank you, Corentin. I?ll give this a try and hope (a) that it works, and (b) that it isn?t something the needs to be done with any regularity, since apparently that would create additional issues.

Goodness. I hope Microsoft fixes this soon.
