I have Entourage 2004 11.2.5 configured against an Exchange Server (2003
SP2).

Whenever I try to empty the deleted items folder on the server, I get a
progress bar indicating that it is emptying items - then when it tries
to sync those changes to the server, Entourage seemingly dumps my
password.

From that point on, Entourage will make a connection each time it is
started, then gives me the password error dialog box. It refuses to
accept the correct password and eventually even locks out my account.

To correct it, I have to open Outlook 2003 on a PC and empty the deleted
items folder... or from OWA.

Anyone else have this trouble?

I had this problem a few times and every time it was caused by a
message with a large attachment (100+ MB) that Entourage could not
retreive. I had it happen in the inbox, sent items, deleted items and
in individual folders. Since the message doesn't actually ever appear
in Entourage you have to log in via OWA, Outlook 2001 or Outlook for
Windows and look for the message to delete it. Hope this helps.

Hmmm... our environment doesn't allow attachments anywhere near that
large. It's happening to me again right now. There's a PSS case
opened on it now and we're trying to work through it.
