I have a G4 with Office running on it. Have the update packs thru
10.1.5 installed, but everytime I try to use another feature besides
Mail (Address Book, Calendar, etc.) the whole app crashes. Is this a
common occurence? Anyone have any clues?

I am running 10.2.2 on a G4 with 768mb RAM, so I don't think memory is
an issue.

Do an Advanced Rebuild of the database: hold down option key at launched and
choose Advanced.

You should also use Software Update in System Prefs to update your system to
10.2.8. Then Repair Permissions (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) -
which you should do anyway.

No

You could try rebuilding the database.

How to rebuild your database:

If you¹re in Entourage X, first go to Entourage -> Turn Off Office
Notifications. Quit Entourage, and then restart Entourage holding down the
Option key. When the Rebuild dialog box comes up, choose to do a Typical
Rebuild.

You should run Software Updater and update to 10.2.8.

Run Repair Permissions after updating.

Open Disk Utility in your Applications/Utility folder.

Click on the First Aid tab and select Repair Permissions

Click on the icon for your boot volume.

Click the repair permissions button.

Don't run from CD as updates have a newer version of Repair Permissions.

Run Repair Permissions from the volume being repaired.
