I have a user who is running the current version of Entourage that
connects to an exchange server. I can get her connected to the central
address book by setting up directory services. If you go to
"Tools->Directory Services" and do a search, it properly finds people
in our central address book of Active Directory.

But if she creates a new email and types in the first few letters of
someone's name, the autocomplete feature only shows possible matches
in her personal address book. I would like it to also show possible
matches in our AD central address book.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Hi Joe
1. What version of Entourage and Mac OS your are using ?
2.Can you query the GAL through the LDAP account setup with your Exchange
profile account?
3. Check the configuration of the Entourage 2004 client, do have an LDAP
server listed under tools-Account-Edit account-Directory?
4. If Entourage 2004, Under Tools-Accounts then under Edit Account click the
"Directory" tab, click the "Advanced Options". Toggle the option "My
server requires ........," and click OK.

Let me know the status

The user needs to click the "Check Names" button when addressing the message
to check names against the Global Address Book. The AutoComplete list does
not include addresses located in the Global Address Book.
