Entourage 2004 had a handy feature on the New E-Mail Toolbar that allowed me to move a message to a specific folder after it was sent. It¹s still there, select ³Customize Toolbar...² from the View menu and add
it yourself :).

You Cannot Add "Move To" tool to email toolbar - Sylin's Right by iain_L

Andy is wrong, and Sylin is right.

You can add "Move To" to the general toolbar in the mail view, but when you create a new email, and then choose customize toolbar from the view menu, the "Move To" tool doesn't appear, so you can't add it to the email toolbar.

Yep, I agree with Sylin - it is very irritating - I wonder why this has been done?

Iain

Yes, and no . . . the time it takes to direct more tasks before hitting the "Send" button is at least as great (and tedious) as hitting "Send", then going to "Sent Items" and either selecting the item(s), clicking "Move To", or just dragging and dropping the item to the subfolder you want. It's the ol' 6-of-one" thing. Simply make it part of my routine to go through my Inbox and Sent Items folders a couple of times a day to do this. I also re-review my Deleted Items and Junk folders before dumping them to make sure I have not overlooked something that I need to file.

If you have some fixed criteria for which sent emails should go into which
folder, creating some outgoing rules might be the solution. They can be
created by going to Tools | Rules, then clicking on the Outgoing tab.
