When sending a meeting invite using Entourage 2004 the ?Accept, Deny, Accept
Tentatively¹ buttons are not present when opened by Outlook users. However
when Outlook clients send meeting invites to me the format is correct.

The site below has an excellent reference on the issue, and includes headers
from an Outlook message and from an Entourage message. It looks like the
encapsulation is embedding the ³Content-Type: text/calendar;
method=REQUEST;² deep within the message which isn¹t viewed by Outlook.

Any ideas on how messages can be transmitted from Entourage to Outlook
without an Exchange server, and have the reply/accept buttons present?

I¹m running:
MacOSX 10.3.6
Entourage 2004
No Exchange server in this instance.

Referenced link below. (Thanks Trevor for the header info.)

Hi Jim,

Did you ever get an answer to this or figure it out. We have the same
problem here and am wondering if there is any solution.

Thanks
