    - drafting an email in entourage to be sent at a future time/date am a recent convert from Outlook to entourage. in Outlook, you could go under the options tab after creating an email and tell it when you want to send it. it allowed for you to put a future time and date and it would wait until that time/date to send. is great when you remember you need to send someone x email and allows you to just do it now and will send when you want it to. is this possible in entourage?     - Corrupt mailbox (I think) Hello, My wife's computer has a problem receiving mail in one of her accounts (Entourage v.X) - the application just quits. Checking and getting incoming mail for her other accounts works fine. I can get her mail on the problem account on my copy of entourage, so I suspect the mailbox for that account is corrupt.     - Address book anomaly When entering recipients in a new email, it comes up with an 'Andrew' Surname which should be 'Andy' Surname. So I go into Address Book where I discover it already *is* Andy Surname. A search reveals that there is no Andrew Surname despite its appearance in the email recipient's box.     - Function of Project Center Contacts (Entourage 2004) While I recognize that the main idea of the Contacts tabs with the Project Center is to create a shareable list of contact data for members of a particular project, what I'd really like to be able to do is a) create rules based on that list and 2) to send e-mail messages to that list, neither of which I can see a way to do without separately creating and maintaining a Group.     - Chinese/Japanese characters between Entourage and handheld Does anyone have an idea of how to sync Chinese (or Japanese) characters used in contacts/calendar on Entourage with a Palm-based handheld? I use a Treo 600 with Entourage X. The mac has Chinese language fonts installed, and I often insert Chinese characters into message/tasks/contacts, though most are in English. This has worked fine. I also used Chinese on my Treo 600 (CJK-OS). That also works fine. However, when I sync my Entourage data to my treo (palm hotsync with Entourage conduit), the Chinese data on Entourage shows up as just ??? on the handheld. Likewise, when I type Chinese data on the handheld and sync with Entourage, the data shows up as unreadable gibberish in Entourage. Moreover, if I so much as open a contact that has Chinese characters on the handheld, all the Chinese characters turn to gibberish the next time I sync with Entourage. What seems to be happening is that the two systems are not mutually compatible, or that the unicode is lost in the syncing process. Can anyone recommend any fixes?     - Entourage 2004 My wife cannot send any e-mail with more than 8 addresses, or any group with over same number. She gets an error message, "error 5.0.0<> user address required Explanation: Mail could not be sent. Error -17099 Mind you that she receives and sends any thing else and its okay. This also restricts her forwarding number of addresses as well. She does not recall having this issue with Entourage 2001 on 9.2 OS.     - Import Outlook 2001 mail into Entourage? I have some mail I synchronized and saved in Outlook 2001 when I left my last job (where I was using OS 9.2), and I would like to open it on my home computer (where I'm using OS X 10.3). I've tried opening it in Outlook 2001 (in Classic mode), which I just downloaded to this computer, but I guess since I don't have access to an Exchange server anymore that won't work. I've also tried creating an Entourage identity and importing to that, but there's no option to import from Outlook 2001, and when I try via MBOX-format file it doesn't recogize the files I saved.     - Entourage 2004 Login Problem I've repeatedly received the following message when attempting to setup an account in Entourage 2004 with an Exchange hosting provider: "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." -OWA works beautifully with the same account -I've attempted every possible username format given by the host -I've tried 5 different users, so I don't think a duplicate entry or alias is causing a problem -My proxy settings fine--none configured -Our host is running Exchange 2003 -SSL is not required, so secure DAL isn't the issue -I've successfully synced up with a different exchange server in a non-hosted environment -The host is using Basic Auth rather than Form-Based authentication -I've read every document available on the web already dealing with this problem -My exchange server is set as the URL to OWA I've traced some HTTP traffic, and Entourage 2004 seems to be using the "PROPFIND" verb. Could that be an issue? Could it be some other strange limitation with Basic Authentication? Thanks for any help! I'm at my wits end here! A week into it now, and we're starting to appreciate what the Custom Views can do for us in terms of seeking out tech support calls on customers, upgrades, all of it. So is there a way, when the custom view list is displayed, to scroll or cycle through all the hits to see what's in them without going back to the list each time? Or to find text within those items?     - problem setting entourage as default reader Since switching over to Panther (10.3), I notice that this results in a problem with running a Mail Merge from Word through Entourage. It used to be that you could go into the System Prefs, and set the default mail app, or browser in the "Internet" prefs, but that's now gone. Instead, it's now set up such that you have to go into the apple Mail app, and select the default mail reader from within these prefs. I ran into this problem today trying to set up another user so that she could do a mail merge from an Excel table, to send a Word document out as an email. Problem: she has dumped her apple Mail app, so we can't open that to set the default mail client to entourage. does anyone know a workaround? i'm wondering if there may be a file in the library that can be trashed and force entourage to ask whether to make it the default (when i set her up with entourage, i unfortunately clicked "No" when it asked me, figuring if i needed it i could change it later in the System Prefs!!)     - Entourage Prevents Other Applications' Keyboard Short Cuts I have come across a strange occurance with Entourage and other applications. It seems that whenever Entourage is open while Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is open; some of the keyboard short cuts for both Illustrator and Photoshop do not work. When I quit Entourage and go back to either one of the other programs the keyboard short cuts work again. I have also experienced this same loss of keyboard functionality with Flash games and websites. Very weird that Entourage would have this effect. Starting on a new mail, i use type e.g "b" as the first letter in the adress, getting the possibility to choose between the adresses in my adress book which starts with a "b". Now i get even more: I have received som spam-mail from a sender, whose adress also started with a "b", and now this adress shows up on the list af "b"´s from my adress book.     - Creating a Group From a File of E-mail Addresses I would think there is a simple way of doing this but I'm not bright enough to see it. I have an Excel spreadsheet of members of my homeowners association. One of the columns is their e-mail address. Is there a way to create a group list in Entourage from this data in the Excel spreadsheet (copy and paste, AppleScript, etc.)? Even better, of course, would be a link between the Entourage group and the Excel column so that any updates to that column would automatically update the Entourage group, too.     - Adobe This may be old news for some - today was the first that I have seen this happen. But, There appears to be an issue with Entourage 2004 and Adobe Illustrator. Where the adobe keyboard shortcuts fail. The problem occurs when Entourage asks for a password. Apparently this dialog locks out the modifier keys and forgets to turn them back on. The work around is to tell Entourage to remember your password. Then logout of the computer and log back in. This works (at least for a while) then fails again. However, even setting this to remember your password people are still experiencing the issue. 10.3.5 update did not fix this problem, Is there another fix out there?     - Check Names Function in Entourage The Check Names function in Entourage is not working properly. I can access my organization's global address list under Tools-Directory Service. However, when I am composing a new message and entering a name in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: spaces and then press the Check Names icon, only those names that are in my local address book are checked. The Check Names button is not checking the global address list. Instead I receive the following error message: "An unknown error (~17790) occurred. Explanation: LDAP Server Error. Account name: "Exchange Account". By the way, my Directory Services default account is not the "Exchange Account." Does anyone have a solution for this problem?     - Entourage X v10.1.4 and Exchange Server Hi sir I have this problem with Entourage X v10.1.4, I can't create a schedule that erases the Deleted Items in the exchange server. When I create the schedule I only see the local folders in the Mac. I can erase only the local Deleted Items. In Entourage`s help I see different steps and buttons that don't exist. I got and did the same schedule in Entourage 2004 and worked fine. The rest works fine. I am working in a Power Mac G4 with Mac OS 10.3.5. Can you help me ?     - attachments received as "winmail.dat" I have just reinstalled Office X on my Apple Powerbook after the hard drive was replaced by Apple Repair. Now, all email attachments sent from my PC to my Mac come through as "winmail.dat", and are not able to be opened. Any ideas?     - email notification in dock has stopped working Recently, after accepting a download to upgrade several applicaitons, the email notification on my dock stopped working (the little envelope icon that appears on the entourage icon in the dock) even though that notification preference is still checked..     - global rule/script for outgoing mailand attachments to move to appropriate folders hi! i have made over a hundred rules for incoming mail, so that each mail is directed to its appropriate mail folder and attachments are moved to corresponding folders on my hard drive it was very time consuming, and i am now looking at my outbox rules does any one have a single global rule, or more likely a global script, which will make each outgoing mail look up its recipient's mail folder and move there, and then look up its recipients attachment folder and move there, by checking the rules present over there in the incoming mail rules... ?? big ask? pj Tag: Entourage 2004 LDAP Error Tag: 43144

    - Entourage 2004 - Calendar event time zones I am noticing the calendar events are placed in my calendar at the right time. But when I open an event the time displayed in the event box is off by 2 hours. I am in Central Time zone. A meeting at 9am is placed at 9am in my calendar, but when I open the event dialog box it shows at 7am. I have checked the time zone in Preferences->calendar->time zone. It is set to central time zone. I have checked the time zone on my mac it is also set to CDT. To make this worse. All my recurring events show the proper time in the dialog box and are placed properly. Only the one time event have this strange problem. Has any one seen this before? wasn't present in X....therefore cannot access our Global Address book. Any
suggestions?

I don;t really see any reason why it shouldn't work. Are you sure you copied
all the same settings to the new version ?? (eg: need for authentication,
custom ports...).

Make sure "This server requires me to log on" is checked in the advanced
settings of your exchange account's directory tab.
