If I understand you correctly, you are more or less happy with Entourage's
junk mail filtering, but you are distracted by the fact that the folder is
highlighted, with a number right next to it. You could simply set up a rule
under Tools>Rules that looks as follows:
If "is junk mail"
Then "do no notify" & "change status" "read"
This rule is applied automatically when new mail is received and does just
what the description of the rule says: if the message is found to be junk
mail, you will not get notified, and the status will be set to read, so the
number next to the junk e-mail folder will not show up.
