Entourage 2008 Inbox will not Update

We are using Entourage 2008 to read email from an Exchange 2003 server.

The inbox does not update. The message is "Inbox Now Updating" displays
perpetually on the bottom right of the screen. The last time this
successfully ran was on Friday. All of the other folder update correctly

I have tried all of the Suggestions from William Smith at
www.ureader.com/msg/15897097.aspx

The user is really disappointed.

Are there any suggestions to fix this issue and prevent it in the future?

So, currently the user *is* pointed to a back-end server address and his
Inbox is relatively small (let's say less than a few hundred messages)?

Also, has the user's mailbox been recently moved or migrated from a
different server?
