Entourage 2004 and Exchange Server 2003: can't see any messages

Reposting a problem: I've configured an exchange mail acct in Entourage
2004 with the exchange server info provided by our sysadmin, leaving the
LDAP field and Public Folder fields empty per his instructions. I receive a
-18597 error, " Entourage is unable to access the mail account you are using
with the mail server configured for that account." when sending test
messages, and I see no messages received for the account. Any advice? I'm
getting desperate.

Info on my computer:
Mac g4 OS 10.2.8
Entourage 11.1.0
Exchange server 2003

When I got this, I found out that I was trying to send/receive files that
were bigger than our 5Mb limit.

You also might want to check the following: (under the directory tab in
account settings)

1. Maximum number of results to return is 0
2. Advanced options: LDAP server port 3268
3. check the option: server requires me to logon
