    - lost email with sending error g'day.... situation is the following: compose new email, send new email. for = whatever=20 reason, email server is not responding. i get an error message: "Error:=20 -17897" and i loose the email. not getting a response from my email = server=20 is something i can deal with, however loosing my composed message is=20 unacceptable. this is happened quite a few times, anyone seen this?     - Reading complex html In Entourage 2004 in Panther, I seem to have some problems with reading complex html emails. Sometimes, they are fine, but there are other times where I get the beachball for about 3 seconds, then Entourage quits. I have 650MB RAM, and I didn't have this problem with Entourage X. So I just turn off complex html in my preferences, and every once in awhile I get frustrated and turn complex html on until the crashing frustrates me and I turn it off again.     - Entourage 2004 smtp problem and error code lookup Entourage refuses to send mail through my usual mail server. It works in = the=20 U.S. with my usual (cable company) ISP. Here in France I am using a ISDN = dial-up service. It keeps giving a 5.1.1 authentication message, saying I must be=20 authenticated. The Microsoft error code is -17099. Of course it's impossible to find a database of error codes (why do they = bother?). My U.S. mail server administration suggests that the French ISP is = blocking=20 port 25, but all other mail (through mac.com, for example) gets sent,=20 including the mail server provided by the French ISP...     - Entourage X G'day The data file wont even Option Launch at start-up to enable a rebuild. The error message it throws up is:- ³Error occurred launching. The Entourage Temp Folder could not be found. It is likely you have a file or folder with the same name or an Alias that doesn¹t point to the correct folder.² No, the Temp folder is where it should be. No, removing the Temp folder doesn¹t fix it. No aliases anywhere. Went to http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/page.html#error_tempfolde Office X reinstalls haven¹t fixed it. The Remove Office doesn¹t really work, so did manual removals instead. Still no go. Any ideas? Apple G4, OS X.2 MS Entourage X (Office 10.0 no updates) Data file is 250MB.     - Printing e-mail messages Hello! Anybody out there?? I NEED YOUR HELP! Once more, my problem is this: When I print an e-mail message it doesn't look the same way on paper as it did on my screen. The length of each line is shorter than on the screen and thus wrapping the lines in a different place and pushing only a few words on to the next line and then starting a new line again.     - Entourage 2004 Junk E-Mail Filter Is Not Working I'm also an Entourage 2004 user. I'm an expert user. I've been using it since it was available (and the previous versions, I've been using for years). And now suddenly the Junk E-Mail filter has stopped working. Just out of the blue after months of perfect use. I've read many postings and all the responses seem to be "you must have changed something?" or "you've got something turned off." But I'm using everything correctly, so please don't respond with something like that. I haven't renamed anything or changed any settings. Has anyone had this experience and found a remedy? I'm using Entourage 2004. I get 20 junk e-mails per Send & Receive. 90 percent of them are categorized as "Misc." for some reason. (No, I don't have any rules that even contain "Misc.") They're categorized Misc. and they get dumped/left in my Inbox. It's very frustrating. Any workarounds or information out there? I can't find any - anywhere on the Internet. I'm bummed.     - Another Calendar Reminder Question Hey there, again. Now I'm trying to figure out how to send myself e-mail reminders from Entourage 2004. I travel a bit - and often check my e-mail from hotel internet computers. I can't seem to find an option within Entourage 2004 - that will allow me to send an e-mail option as a reminder. I thought I read that iCal let you send e-mail reminders - and am wondering if there was a way to sync my Entourage calendar with iCal - then iCal would automatically send the e-mail reminder... - but not sure if this would work. The other option I guess would be to find a web based calendar that let you send e-mail reminders - but am currently not aware of any. I previously used Yahoo on the PC side - and it worked great in terms of me syncing my Outlook calendar - then Yahoo would automatically send me an e-mail reminder.     - Entourage 2004 Task Printing I want to print a task list, and have the list on the screen, sorted by=20 Category. How can I get the task list to print in the same Category = order as=20 is shown on the screen? What is printing doesn't seem to be in any = order.     - Lose "Folder List" view after each Entourage 2004 quit and Up to about a week ago, this problem did not exist. Now it happens each time I quit Entourage 2004 and launch. The Folder List disappears and when I go into View, Folder List is unchecked. I re-check it, but the next time I quit and launch, the same problem recurs.     - I have to send email twice, Mac Office 2004 After I have composed an email to send, I click on "send" button and = get an=20 error message asking me to check my Account or my Network settings. My settings, as nearly as I can tell, are OK. I then click a second = time and it=20 is sent just fine. This happensd over 60% of the time.     - weird Exchange 2003 calendar behavior I've got a mixed use environment, and I'm seeing some really strange behavior in calendar appointments. What I've been able to replicate: If I add an appointment to my Exchange calendar from Entourage 2004, change the Occurs setting to Custom... and set Recurrence Pattern to the second Wednesday of each every 1 month (or something similar and appropriate for the event), the event looks great in both Entourage and my OWA web client. However, if I view the appointment from Outlook 2003, it only shows the first occurrence of the meeting. All subsequent meetings are not shown in Outlook, even though they show properly in Entourage and OWA. Weird. What I've not been able to replicate: The user who first reported the problem a Windows user who is set up as a delegate for a Mac users with Entourage 2004. They are now getting "Not enough memory" errors when trying to create recurring appointment on the Mac users' calendar. This continues to happen with those specific accounts, but I can't replicate it with my account. Any suggestions?     - Multiple Reminders Hey there. I've had my Mac for just about a month now - and just getting into the thick of it after being a PC user for 20+ years. So - here's what I can't figure out today. I'd like to be able to send myself 2 or 3 reminders of the same event. For example - a reminder that a birthday I need to be aware of is 4 days away - then another reminder 2 days later - that that same birthday is now only 2 days away ('cause I'm good at forgetting things & getting distracted) :-).     - Entourage 2004 HTML printing problems Hi there, I have seen one or two people mentioning the same problem when printing HTML messages in Entourage 2004 - the header information (to, from, date, subject etc) does not show up at all (I think when sent from PCs using Outlook). I use Entourage at work, so this is a problem for record-keeping. "Editing" each message to turn off HTMl is not feasible due to volume. I was exploring the delete button, and ended up deleting it. 1) Is there any way to find it? 2) How can I restore it to its former database?     - Junk Rule Doesn't Work Hello all! I understand the JMF and I understand that by default Entourage 2004 only marks messages as junk. I have written a rule exactly like the example. Any JUNK message will be moved to JUNK MESSAGES and NO NOTIFICATION will be given. This simply doesn't work for me. I still get the message in the inbox and it's showing up as junk...so at least that's working. I am stumped. This is an IMAP server and everything else works fine... Any ideas?     - Printing task list I'm trying to print a task list in Entourage 2001 that has 49 items (I'm a busy person :) What I get is the first page of tasks printed twice, instead of the full list with a second page. Have tried regular desktop printer, virtual postrscript printer and pdf maker, all with same result. Have tried allocating more memory, no change. Am running OS 8.6 on a iMac Revision A.     - Entourage Backed-up info is missing info I upgraded to Panther(10.3.5) from Mac OS 10.2.8.     - UNRECOVERABLE ERROR -8796 Hi folks. Having a serious problem here. I cannot rebuild my database. This error says a corrupt database and try to rebuild, but holding option key causes the dialog box for typical/advanced rebuild to pop up, and then immediately the program crashes. I tried to switch identities to see if that would help, but still same result. I deleted Entourage cache and prefs, but still no go. I ran diskwarrior and corrected my hd. Still no go. OSX 10.3.5 and Entourage X No point in upgrading if I lose my entire database. I was able to export my emails to a db but I cannot even create a new identity without the - 8796 error popping up. You msut configure the LDAP settings properly (providing your Exchange
server offers LDAP). Entoruage will then use it for GAL queries (it's
jsut not browsable).

Note that you need to download and install the latest Office X updates,
which are 10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary) for this to
work. They¹re available from Microsoft.
