 - A new peculiar problem in Entourage/Exchange Hi On my work IM using both w2k and my beloved mac...the mac with entourage. Untill now its been running smoothly (with the lacks of entourage) on both machines. Lately I even had FREE/BUSY server working :-) But suddenly entourage began fail. Saying wrong "password or ID" Havent changed a thing in my setup. Neither has the exchange folks?!!! Funny thing is that my explorer bails out as well - because of wrong password or ID on our intraweb. I been deleting my account in entourage. Sometimes it works fine again - for a short while. Then it dont. Been deleting "servers password" in IE and all my keyrings in X? IM desperate!! Anybody out there know what the matter? Is it in the X system or....  - Entourage with Exchange 2000 I have a mac client using entourage to access email from an exchange 2000 server. When deleting messages from the inbox, they are immediately deleted from the server. However, if he tries to only delete the attachment and keep the text of the email, the attachment will be deleted from the email on his side but remains on the server. Any tips?  - Calendar prints blank attachment page Hello all. This is a very annoying problem, but I don't know if it has a solution. Basically, every time go to print the calendar by day, it prints out a blank page with "attachments" as a heading. I'm guessing that's the attachment page. Since I don't have any attachments associated with my events, the page is blank. I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find a way to turn it off. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  - Frequent crashes checking mail Just switched back to Entourage after using Mail and am having problems checking mail now. Entourage frequently crashes when checking for new mail. This used to happen with IMAP accounts but now seems to be related to POP accounts as well. I checked and verified the keychain, which did have some issues with those POP account passwords. But the problem persisted. Anyone else having similar problems. I only went back to Entourage because Office 04 is coming out next month and looks much improved. But this problem is rather annoying.  - delayed email delivery. I mange about 15 Macs Running OS 10.3.3. The Machines range from=20 G3 450's to newest Dual G5. All machines are well equipped with RAM as = we=20 are a design firm. We are dependent upon our Companies MIS department=20 which administers the Exchange Server. Our problem is this: When our machines wake from sleep. The communication link is broken=20 with the Exchange server. As a workaround I have set a schedule to send=20 and receive mail on the hour. I would prefer to not set these schedules. = I=20 also suspect that this problem is an indicator of a larger problem which = is as=20 follows. Some emails might not show up for a day or so.=20 The machines seem to be receiving emails immediately from the server and = then all of the sudden, a few new email show up from the day before. = These=20 straggler emails show no signs of continuity. Some may be from outside=20 email address's and some area from within the company. This is causing many area's of confusion for the users. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  - Syncing Notes/Memos: Why Such a Challenge? Arrrgh! I'm so frustrated. So many applications cannot sync Entourage Notes (also known in PalmOS-speak as "Memos") to a handheld. The list goes on and on: PocketMac The Missing Sync for Palm iCal etc. What exactly is so difficult for developers in adding the capability of synchronizing notes?  - All my stuff disappeared? I don't know what in the world happenned, but my entourage database apparently disappeared. Here is my setup: 1. I have only one user installed, and only one identity in entourage. 2. I installed VPC and Outlook for Windoze last night so I can gather Exchange 5.5 data. That was very successful. 3. I set up entourage to be my email client for pop email. 4. I set up folders and rules to divert various emails. 5. It worked great (flawlessly) all day. 6. I closed entourage and put my little laptop to sleep. 7. I came home and started it up and voila -- it acted as if I had never opened it before and now I have no email, no accounts, no nothing...  - v10.14 does not make new Sticky From pretty much any application you can create a new Sticky (OS 10.3.3) by using SERVICES > MAKE NEW STICKY NOTE, but in Entourage 10.1.4 that isn't possible. The selection is grayed out.  - Entourage File Size Limitation I have a graphics user account (now use Entourage with IMAP accounts) that was using OE5 on Mac OS9. Now they have converted (finally) to Entourage on Mac OSX. However the graphics user account has almost 4GB worth of data (lots of file attachments with graphics).  - Delegates, Office XP, meeting stability Problems We've been having a difficult time with a customer involving delegates and Entourage. The primary customer uses Entourage on Exchange 2003. Everything replicates well to the server. The problem is that meetings are disappearing arbitrarily and updated meetings are duplicating with the new times instead of just updating the item. The delegate is using Outlook XP and is the only one who accepts meeting invitations and is usually the only one who updates calendar items. Also, on meetings the primary customer originates, over time, he is no longer listed as the originator. Any one else experiencing these type of problems?  - Exchange and PC and MAC Hi, Maybe this question has been asked 1,000 times. My intention is to the following : A) Have a PC to receive all the emails (hotmail, pop account, etc) B) Have my MAC retrieve all the messages but keep them at my PC ( basically this will allow me to connect from everywhere to my pc and download the messages I need. Questions : 1.- Is this feasible, intelligent or is it a waste of time, bandwidth, etc. 2.- Will my PC need server software or my Windows Office professional XP I can do it ? ( What software do I need to accomplish this ) The PC will be like a server. 3.- Will I need a public (fixed) ip address or DHCP to connect to my pc will be fine. When Entourage 10.1.5/Exchange 2k3 does a Send & Receive is throws back the an error 1026 - "Specified attribute set is invalid". So far this is only on one machine.  - Help! 3 Macs with Unrepairable Databases within 1 week This is wierd. Within the last week we have had 3 users of Entourage X (10.1.5) get database errors. Neither the Typical or Advanced Rebuild options work. Is something going around that might be causing this? ...or is it just coincidence. We have never had these errors occur.  - Cannot send: SMTP error -23016, new resolution needed I have one Powerbook G4 (15") user (Mac OS 10.2.8) who is remote (on a Linksys cable modem through a Linksys Wireless B router to his Airport card), who has a problem with getting the following error Mail could not be sent using the account "_____.__________.com. A connection failure has occurred Error: -2301 The error did not occur when we first set up the account... but only when he starts up again next day... and we've made another user profile to try it again and it repeats. He can retrieve messages via a web browser. We've tried to change the Account to show his IP address as the SMTP server address, but that didn't help I run the Linux-based mail server. We do not require SMTP authentication. Relaying permission is coded by putting his IP address in the tcp.smtp file for this user, so he need not authenticate separately. We've checked his IP, and it is static. All other users can connect and send okay, including Entourage users inside the network and outside.  - Tasks pane shows all uncompleted tasks The Calendar views in Entourage can display a Tasks pane. Searching = "Tasks=20 pane" in help shows the following... Show or hide the Tasks pane . On the Calendar menu, click Tasks Pane. Tip The Tasks pane displays all incomplete tasks due today or prior to = today.=20 Currently mine is showing all uncompleted tasks - not just those that = are=20 due or overdue. There does not seem to be a preference to change this behavior - so it=20 seems to me that Entourage is not behaving as the help suggests. Does anyone have any ideas on this?  - deleting messages error loop when i delete messages from a folder i set up for a yahoo group messages, i get the following error mss "Could not complete this action.  - Entourage database and identity have disappeared I tried to send an email and was unable to insert my default=20 signature. Following this Entourage v.X crashed and when I restarted=20 applicaton it was if I had newly installed it, i.e all emails and = contacts had=20 gone. I searched in Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/ Main Identity and tried to locate my database but it is nowhere on my=20 system.  - Can't even open Entourage before it crashes... PLEASE HELP ME! Last week Entourage suddenly stopped working for me completely. It barely opens and then it crashes directly and I get the following message: "The aapplication Microsoft Entourage has unexpectedly quit. The system and other applications have not been affected. Would you like to submit a bug report to Apple?" If I press Submit Report-button I get a helluva long message (see at bottom of this message). The problem is that I have all e-mail groups (VERY important, NOT back-up'ed ofcourse....) and adresses plus calender in Entourage. I run mac os x 10.3.3. I have tried restarting with apple-alt-P-R and run Virus Barrier, but it didn't find any viruses either. Can anyone please help me????  - Entourouge X and attachments When sending attachments(i.e. jpegs) with the newest Entourage (and=20 Panther) they go out in a glob, side by side, with no space in between = at=20 all.... The old one, sent them one after another with a little space in=20 between....was much nicer.. i've heard this is common and there is a repair, but can't find it on MS = site...anyhow know about this? how do i fix it?? I¹m having a problem with entourage. I¹ve reinstalled my user data and everything is working OK except. At first, when I¹d open the data file, I¹d get a warning that the program couldn¹t access the preferences file but if I clicked OK, the file then opened. I finally got past that and now it won¹t send, I get an access denied box. It was working before and I¹ve gone through and checked all the info and it all is correct. The same account will send and receive on Mail but will receive but not send on Entourage. I¹ve gone through and tried a new user file but no luck.  - Receiving Calendar Invites Hello! When I receive a Calendar invite from someone, especially from an PC Exchange user, the invite when received in Entourage generates an email instead of an actual Calendar invite window with all the options. The Accept/Decline/Tentative buttons are grayed out, and I can't even see the date and time of the actual meeting because in the body of the "email", the whole thing is blank. I did find a way to see the date and time by clicking on the "re-wrap" button. But that gave me a error about HTML and whether or not I wanted to disable it?!?! Weird! Has anyone seen this?  - 2MB attachment limit on emails sent from Entourage I've been using Entourage for about a year on a Mac Powerbook G4 1Ghz running OS X. I configured Entourage with no problem until I tried to send a message out with an attachment over 2MB in size. Each time the program refused to sent the message. When I reply or forward an e-mail, the text in the message that was=20 previously sent to me disappears. =20 For instance: I get an e-mail from someone. I want to forward that = e-mail=20 to someone else and make a comment about the previous message. I push=20 "forward" but then the previous message disappears -- therefore, I = cannot=20 refer to the previous message when sending it to someone else. In the "Mail and News Preferences" section of Entourage, under "Reply &=20 Forward", I have "Include entire message in reply" checked. But it = still=20 doesn't work. What's the freakin' deal?!?  - Calendar Hello! When I receive a calendar request for some one, for some reason I cant see the actual request. Date. Time. When. Where. I get the little icon that tells me its a meeting request?!  - Entourage dumps Explorer cache For the last six months, I have been experiencing a fairly serious conflict between Entourage and Explorer. If I am using Explorer to access a Web store and then I check mail in Entourage, the process of checking mail will apparently dump the Explorer cache. When I go back to Explorer, the Web site no longer knows that I'm logged in and anything in my shopping basket will be gone. This has happened consistently on the following sites: Shutterfly.com Staples.com babystyle.com polo.com And others I can't think of right now. Interestingly, it doesn't happen at all Web stores. Gymboree.com seems unaffected. I finally narrowed down the problem during a long tech support call to Shutterfly. Shutterfly was aware of the problem, since they had encountered it with other users, but since the trouble was with Entourage, there was obviously nothing they could do. Does anyone know if Microsoft is aware of this problem? I found other posts related to this topic, but they are old.  - Entourage & Exchange 5.5 Question from a "switcher" I just purchased a Mac Powerbook and thought I had asked all the right questions to all the right people before deciding to switch from a PC, but apparently I missed this. At work we run Exchange 5.5 primarily for shared calendar and contacts. We do not use the email features, except minimal "in-house" email occassionally. I have a problem now Question 1. Is there any way that I can access Exchange Calendar and Contacts from my Mac without asking for an upgrade to Exchange 2000 (which is unlikely to happen Question 2. I don't suppose the upcoming 2004 version will address this... Can anyone let me know if it does (without breaking NDA) Question 3.  - Entourage X has stolen my exchange emails I am running a network on 2000 server, and i am running my email system on a exchange 2000 server. We also have MACs, running OSX 10.3 on our network. My problem is as follows: I have an email account on our exchange server, which until today was working fine. The guys using the macs have purchased office X, which inc Entourage X. After creating an account on Entourage X, it proceeded to pull all my emails from off the exchange server, and dumping them in Entourage. Where it has stored my emails, i do not know. Where has Entourage put them? Under what file extension? How do i get the back onto my exchange account? I have searched the mac machine for *.eml or *.pst files to try and locate them.  - Entourage 9/Exchange problem Hi, We have a MAC user, who is currently having problems sending mail. He is however receiving mail. Background.... Previously he was able to receive e-mail when he was using Entourage 9 on Exchange 5.5/Windows NT4 Since the Exchange server was changed to Exchange 5.5/Windows 2000. The MAC user is no longer able to send mail (SMTP). They are however able to receive mail. The configuration is as follows:- Account Settings: Include this a/c in send & receive all schedule is checked Personal Information Name/E-mail Address is entered Receiving mail account ID, POP server and password are entered. Save password is checked. Advanced receiving options: none are checked Sending mail SMTP server is entered Advanced sending options; SMTP server requires authentication is checked and use same settings as incoming mail server is checked The error message is: Error: Mail could not be sent using the account '.....'  - Exchange sending problem Hello, I have patched entourage with the latest patches etc. The problem I have is when I send an email it appears to have gone from the outbox. However it doesn't go anywhere it simply seems to dissapear. It is shown in the sent folder. The settings I am using are correct, the exchange server is working fine because I have a pc next to the mac which works which uses outlook. However on the PC the sent folder does not contain emails sent from entourage. Does anyone have any ideas on a solution to this problem? Thanks.  - Duplicating Appointment/Event, Entourage v.X Hi This probably a silly question, but I can't work out how to do this.. All I want to do is duplicate an event or appointment in Entourage, say I am teaching IT on Monday from 9:30 to 12:00, then they also ask me to teach IT on Wednesday from 9:30 to 12:00 - surely I don't have to enter all the detail again.  - Exporting my Contacts in Entourage in a CSV format I am using MAC OSX and Entourage and would like to export my=20 contacts in a CSV format. I use Earthlink as my email provider and=20 when on the road do not have the same access to all my contacts/ addresses. The only way I was told (by Earthlink) to get all my = contacts=20 from Entourage imported into my webmail was to have the exported=20 file converted somehow to a CSV format. Rght now, you can only=20 export contacts as a .txt file, I don't want to have to transfer all = my=20 email back to my PC ( which I hate) so I can use Outlook, which does=20 let you export in various flie formats. On my work IM using both w2k and my beloved mac...the mac with entourage.
Untill now its been running smoothly (with the lacks of entourage) on both
machines. Lately I even had FREE/BUSY server working

But suddenly entourage began fail. Saying wrong "password or ID"

Havent changed a thing in my setup. Neither has the exchange folks?!!!

Funny thing is that my explorer bails out as well - because of wrong
password or ID on our intraweb.

I been deleting my account in entourage. Sometimes it works fine again - for
a short while. Then it dont.

Been deleting "servers password" in IE and all my keyrings in X?

IM desperate!!

Anybody out there know what the matter? Is it in the X system or....
