    - How to merge data from two identities I have been using Entourage X on two different Macs. They have overlapping but distinct databases.     - Re-Occuring All-Day events display on wrong day FIX Hey gang. I"m new to the group and I'm positive this has been driving everyone else crazy. If you're not familiar with the problem, I'll explain it briefly.. then my work around below. Problem: I make an 'all-day' event. No problem. event shows on correct day in calendar view, etc... Once you make the even occur multiple times and save it, the event jumps to the wrong day in the caledar view. It appears to be a time-zone issue. When you make the event, the yellow warning bar says 'Event and computer time zones do not match. in calendar views the event time is adjusted to display correctly.' It appears as if Entourage always thinks my mac's timezone is Central (US & Canada). If I change the event's time zone to central, the warning goes away. I ran the experiment setting my mac to pacific time zone, and then the default event time zone (in preferences). When I make a new event, it still shows the error, stating that the event and mac are set to different time zones. Again, setting the event back to central, clears up the problem. My current work around has been to simply set my mac, and Entourage prefs to Central time zone, and I dont appear to have any problems. Although who knows what will happen once the bug is fixed, and I change my mac back to eastern central time zone like it's supposed to be. If this issue has been addressed...     - Cannot send "clean" HTML to MS Outlook on PC Here's a situation for which I've been unable to find a decent solution. Trying to send an HTML message from Entourage on a Mac to be viewable on both Macs and MS Outlook on a PC. The original message is created in an HTML editor. The HTML code is "clean" and uses styles so that it can serve as an easy-to-use template for subsequent messages utilizing the same format. The trick to sending is to use Tools:Accounts:Options to create an additional header "context-type:text/html." I can then cut and paste the HTML code text into the body of the message and send as HTML e-mail without setting the Entourage Format to HTML. This works great on all Mac e-mail clients I've encountered, but it does NOT work on a PC running MS Outlook! For some unfortunate reason, MS Outlook on the PC ignores the text/html header and just displays the plain text. If I try to send the message as Format:HTML then Entourage applies all its own HTML formatting code. Same thing happens if message is sent from Word using File:Send to: Mail Recipient (as HTML). I want to send the "clean" HTML code, i.e. matching a web page, so its readable on a Mac or a PC. Paul Berkowitz has created some wonderful AppleScripts for Entourage to facilitate the sending of complex HTML messages, but as best I can discover, none of these will send the "clean" HTML code; they all let Entourage create its own version of the HTML. Is there any way for force Entourage to send HTML code which is readable using MS Outlook on a PC, or must I utilize another program for sending this mail? If so, any suggestions?     - Display new News messages difficulty Good day all, I have begun taking a class at the University of Phoenix and my whole experience revolves around newsgroups. All classroom dialog and interaction is in the groups. I am having difficulty understanding why when I set up my entourage 2004 client to check for new messages every 5 minutes it works fine for the mail accounts but no new news messages are discovered until I actually go to the subscribed group. I hit send and receive all day long or wait for the I am checking for new messages in "x" minutes to occur and no new messages. I click on the subscribed newsgroup and then it actually checks the server and discovers the new messages. I really like the threaded view I was able to create with a custom arrangement and don't want to have to use another viewer. I don't seem to have the problem in Thunderbird or Unison but since I already have entourage open for other mail I would prefer to use it. Just for clarity: All I am looking for is the subscribed newsgroup to turn BOLD if there are new unread messages. Without needing to physically go and click on each newsgroup to check.     - Entourage 2004 Snyc problem I recently (yesterday if fact) rolled out Entourage 2004 in an Exchange environment and it all seemed reasonably painless. I had to enter an IP address rather than domain name for the servers but other than that it all seemed to go well. Some of the people have very large mail folders on the server and when I left 2 of the client machines were still synchronising the mail folders. Now 32 hours later I'm told that one machine still has not completed this initial synchronisation which seems wrong to me. Up till now everything has been dandy using Outlook 2001. This machine had previously installed the Office 2004 tryout which had the same problem but we figured that installing the release version might fix it. I ran the Remove Office App before installing it and created a new identity for this install. I would very much appreciate any suggestions as to how to resolve this. The first thing I think I should try is a database rebuild but I don't know if that's going to change what's going on at the server end.     - Phantom reoccuring events We are running Windows 2000 Exchange and 99% of our network is running Windows 2000 Pro and XP. We have a couple of Mac users that have the latest version of Entouage installed. Our secretary has delegate permission to one of the MAC users accounts. The problem we are seeing is that when either the user or secretary enters a reoccuring event and the Mac is syncronized some events show up in the calendar of the Mac and when the secretary opens his account on the server she may see different reoccuring events.     - Preview Pane Prefs/Settings I recently upgarded to MAc OSX and the new version of Entourage, and I sorely miss one feature of the OS9 version: In Entourage for OS9, I could have different preview pane settings for different folders. I.E. I preferred not to have a preview pane for my Inbox so that I would not have to preview Spam. But I liked having the preview pane for my folders into which I would sort my already-read non-spam email messages. I cannot figure out a way to do this with Entourage 2004 for OSX version 11.0.0.     - Palm Calendar and Sharing Hello, I have two issues with Entourage 2004. - I would love to know the easiest way to import calendar info from my Palm Desktop software. - Is it possible to share projects (and related files) with PC users? Would they need to have Office 2003? So far I've tried sharing with someone who has Office 2002, and it didn't seem to work (although I could have been doing something wrong).     - Copying Calender events? I'd like to enter a few similar calender events in Entourage, but not by making them recurring. (The events have different starttimes and lengths, etc..)     - Feature Request Project Center Entourage 2004 Hi, i'd like to raise my voice about something i think is lacking in Project Center. Currently ProjectCenter does not allow for Synchronisation of Email in Projects. I can understand the reasons for this limitation if someone does Pop only Email. In my case, i am exclusively on IMAP accounts and any machine i can access, has access to the same IMAP Accounts. In this scenario, it should not be impossible to also Synchronize Email Messages. As we know the IMAP-Account and have the IMAP Message-ID, this is all one needs to Sync emails associated to a project IMHO. This shouldn't be too hard to do - not harder than synching files IMHO.     - Entourage 2004 and exchange queues Hi, I have been testing Entourage 2004 before it gets rolled out in our = company=20 and all seems fine except for one big problem. When sending mail through our exchange 2000 server to remote users over=20 smtp mail randomly gets stuck in the queues. ! This is only happening = with=20 the Entourage 2004 clients.=20 Any other app like Mail.app from the same user mail flows just fine.=20 This is a weird one because the client app passes the mail fine to tyhe = server=20 but then you get a NDR days later form the server.=20 Like I said the same mail from the same user to the same remote address=20 goes fine.     - time zone problem I'm using entourage 2004 with Panther on 2 different computers (iMac and G3). I'm using the time zone of Jerusalem, and everything seems to be configured ok (on the system and on Entourage). the problem is that all the events in the calendar are 1 hour later then the times I inserted.     - font reunion I am having trouble with fonts not displaying by their font family in = both=20 Entourage and Word (Mac 2004). I only have this problem in these = programs=20 - no other.     - Problems importing my database!!! Hello. I am having similar problems to the ones posted here. I recently purchased Office 2004 because I was excited with Entourage's new Project area. Ironically, it is with Entourage that I'm habing my problems. I installed the software in both my Titanium G3 Laptop, as well as my dual G5 tower. I have tried rebuilding ny database, copying my old identities inside the new Microsoft User Data folder created, veryfing and compacting my databases... you name it! This is a process I'm very familiar with, as I have often imported old identities into newer versions of Entourage, and it is the first time I have tried left and right with NO SUCESS WHATSOEVER!!! I am really upset at the fact that I am sometimes able to export settings and folders, but none of my old emails which I desperately need to keep. Meanwhile, I am using Panther's Mail application (which mirrors what's on my server) and it is soon going to get packed if I don't resolve my Entourage problem and finally download all my emails to my harddrive.     - HotSync Problems I have been following the issues related to hotsync with the Palm. My T3 synced fine until I installed Microsoft Office 2004.     - Entourage - Connection Failure IMAP OK. I finally got entourage to connect to the company Windows mail server after debugging and ultimately putting the IP address in the IMAP server field instead of the server name that my IT guy kept suggesting. But this week he upgraded from Win2K to Win2003 Mail Server he also changed the server IP address. He told me to just update my IP address in my account.     - Entourage 2004 and Synchronization Window I have noticed several posts about Entourage 2004 and the Synchronization window. I seems like the fix is just to close the window.     - Entourage 2004 Message Viewing Options I like to read the list of emails with the newest on the bottom (sorting triangle in sent column pointing up). When I start Entourage the emails are sorted properly but the focus is on the start (the oldest emails) not the end which are the most current. When I open Entourage after its already been started the focus displays on the bottom of the list as I desire. Is there any way to set this as the default when starting Entourage? Also, anyone else disappointed that toolbars are not customizable? I would love to add an empty trash icon.     - Moving Entourage to a New Computer I just bought a new iBook G4 and want to move my Entourage information from my old G3 Powerbook to the new machine. I've copied the Office X folder itself using a FireWire connection, but now want to bring my old e-mail, contacts, etc. over as well. When I try to "Import," there's no option for importing from the same version of Office X. I've seen a workaround for Contacts, but nothing about the old e-mail itself.     - Entourage Sending Messages, but Not Receiving. Hello, Stranged problem just started to happen on my MAC. I'm running OS 10.2.8 with Office X. (not 2004). Last Friday I was able to send an receive mail just fine, then suddenly when it went to send and receive, it froze up. I tried things manually after Force Quitting and I was able to send, but not receive. I don't get any error messages, nothing. It just sits there until I force quit. According to our network administator, all my network and account settings are correct, as they should be. I didn't do anything to them! I ran Disk Doctor, First Aid, uninstalled the entire Office X suite, reinstalled it, deleted an old 2001 folder with an old identity in it and it work fine the rest of the day and then again this morning, but NOW, it's not working again. I don't have a clue what to look for now. The tech guys I work with are PC/Windows guys so I don't want them to start monkeying around with my MAC. I've tried everything I can think and was hoping for another idea here on the boards. I'm also going to try the Apple boards, as their response time seems to be soooo much quicker than this one.     - This Project is Done - Now to make it go away... Actually, I'd just like to file it. Or note somehow that it's "done". And unchecking the due date doesn't do either of these things, and doesn't record if we hit the deadline or missed it. I've tried "archiving" - but the project still sits there. I'd like to have an accessable record of what was said and done, with all of the great filing capabilities of the Project Center (folders on the desktop, etc.) but projects (at least in my company) come and projects go, except in Microsoft Entourage, where a project, it seems, is forever there, getting one more day overdue every day. Is there any possible way to do what I'm asking here? It seems so simple, yet so elusive... Please note: renaming "Project 1" to "Project 1 - Done", unchecking the due date, and deleting things individually off the file system is NOT a solution. Thanks for any and all responses.     - Safe Domains - Where are they stored? I'd like to be able to add safe domains programmatically (if possible) instead of having to type them in manually myself. For example, I'd like to be able to select a message and choose "Add to Safe Domains" from the Scripts menu to run an AppleScript that would get the domain of the selected message and add it to the Safe Domains list.     - Making Entourage truly the default I am using Entourage in the OS X version. I have selected Entourage to be my default email program in preferences. However, when ever I try to use an email link that comes on a website or in an email, what comes up is my old Mac Mail program.     - hyperlink on jpg in custom signature?? hi there, I have version 11.0 Entourage for Mac. I am trying to create a custom signature and am using a .jpg in it. I would like to have that .jpg be a hyperlink when the user received my email and clicked on the .jpg. Have successfully HotSynced Entourage 2004 with SONY Clie, but now in
HotSync Manager can't open Entourage Conduit. All other conduits work
fine. Any suggestions?

I guess you are using The Missing Sync to do that. What version of Palm
Desktop/The missing Sync do you have ??

I also had the conduit settings not appearing when I double-clicked.

In the end, I did two things to resolve it:

* Two versions of the Entourage Database Daemon were listed in my
Login (or accounts in system preferences) Items (the v.X and 2004). I
deleted them both from Login Items and re-added just the version from
the Office 2004 install (found in the Office sub-folder). (Sloppy
install from the CD, Microsoft).

* I deleted the old Office v.X installation (the uninstall option in
the Office 2004 folder, in additional tools).
