This should be easy for you guys. :-) For the life of me, I can't get
the calendar to use AM/PM time format. My system time format is AM/PM
as is the other calendar program I'm running. Entourage insists it uses
the system settings. Yes, I should probably learn the 24 hour format
being that I'm an international gal but it's driving me nuts. I'm
running OS10.4.+ and 11.2.5 Entourage. Thanks!

To have Entourage use 24-hour time, open System Preferences, and then open
International Preferences. Click the "Formats" tab. Under "Times", click
the "Customize" button. The first number that appears is probably the hour.
Click on it, and then select "00-23". Then, click at the end of the text
field, and press Delete to remove the AM/PM indicator. Click OK and then
quit System Preferences. When you relaunch Entourage, you should see that
it is now using 24-hour time.

Sorry, those instructions were for switching to 24 hour time. Try these
instructions:

To have Entourage use AM/PM 12-hour time, open System Preferences, and then
open International Preferences. Click the "Formats" tab. Under "Times",
click the "Customize" button. The first number that appears is probably the
hour. Click on it, and then select "1-12". Then, drag the blue AM/PM
symbol in the lower part of the window to the end of the text field. Click
OK and then quit System Preferences. When you relaunch Entourage, you
should see that it is now using 12-hour AM/PM time.

I tried these instructions and I still can't change to the AM/PM clock.
In fact, the settings you suggested were already in place. I'm lost.
I'm wondering, since another person here is having Calendar ISSUES :-)
if there's something amiss in the newest version of Entourage? I'm new
at this so what do I know?

I've just experienced a similar issue where Entourage defaulted from the 24
hour system format to AM/PM. Restarting Entourage did not help, so I
launched System Preferences, made sure my format was set properly and then
restarted my Mac, which solved the problem. Have you already tried a reboot?

Thanks, Michel. Yes, I have tried rebooting my computer. The funny(?)
thing about all this is is that originally, everything was fine--I had
AM/PM format. At some point last week, Entourage just changed the
format and I can't seem to get back to the AM/PM format.

Henry

I just tried it. It works for me. Entourage 11.2.5, Mac OS X 10.4.7

Could your preferences be corrupt? Does Date and Time display properly if
you set it on the menu bar? Can you change prefs within the OS and have
those changes reflected on the menu bar (even w/o rebooting)?

What does Disk Utility think about your start up drive's Disk Permissions?

Thanks, Henry. This is my first computer in 6 years so I'm new at
Entourage. I ran Disk Utility and the Disk Permissions. There were
quite a few "differences" which were corrected. However, they seemed to
have to do with my printer (Epson) and Flash Player. I couldn't see
anything having to do with Entourage. Would it say "Entourage" in the
list of differences? My system clock is fine as is iCal. It seems to be
a problem with Entourage only. Any feedback? I appreciate your help.
